Will Dez take a pay cut? "Hell no"

If you listen to the interview its clear that Dez's head is not with the Cowboys or the game of football. He said his mind is on his family and the offseason and that's where it needs to be. He said he's ready for the offseason going to enjoy it. Time to move on from this guy. Hes checked out long before this game.
That's great. His family rips him off daily. good for him.

1. There are issues with the scheme and play-calling.
2. He needs to take some accountability. He can't demand the ball all the time and then not come through, or even worse, turn it over.
3. If we were smart, we'd sell the idea of him taking a pay-cut as a way to get him more help versus some sort of penalty or judgement against his performance.

Love this, could it be gently framed in a way that it would help him by signing another WR to take the pressure off him

I don't blame Dez. Football is an extremely physical game. Most guys aren't going to willingly take a pay cut.

Well, we all know the scheme is horse crap, but Dez to me, looked a half step slower, dropped to many passes and made mistakes after throwing tantrums. You can’t make mistakes after throwing tantrums about wanting the ball!!

Dez was in that area standing around watching the game, vs , coming back to help his QB out. Go watch it.
You are right. It looked like Dez gave up on his pattern. He was just standing near the sideline when the ball was intercepted. The ball was between Dez and Zek.

I am as big a Dez supporter there is here and even I know he needs to take a pay cut and new role

If he refuses then sell him off in a trade........ he has 2 team options at 12.5m and some team in need of star power and deep in cap space will take him..... Jeffrey just got 4/54m so Dez has value

Who in their right mind would take a pay cut?
None of his base salary of 12.5m is guaranteed....... DAL can cut him at any time before the season starts and he gets nothing and has to sign a new deal as a FA, most likely for a lot less

OR

He takes a pay cut and stays with DAL in a new role

Although I agree that Dez Bryant is useless to this team, who are we going to replace him with?

We don't get paid millions to catch a ball. Taking a pay cut, we'd still make more than doctors ...catching a ball.

How many tickets do you think you could sell to people to watch doctors? How many billion$ would TV networks give a hospital to televise their doctors?

Good analogy.

See thats the wrong question.

If something is useless there is no need to replace it. It takes a spot you need for something else.

Ok... who becomes out number one receiver when we cut him? The free agent list is underwhelming to say the least.

Dez Bryant doesn't buy the notion that he's lost a step, and even if he secretly does, it won't lead to him accepting a pay cut from the Dallas Cowboys this offseason.

"I haven't heard no talks of that, but if it comes ... I don't know, probably not," the receiver told Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News, before cementing his stance: "Hell, no. I believe in me, yeah."

Bryant, who turned 29 in November, hasn't looked like his old self this year, instead struggling to get separation from defenders. However, he attributed his declining production to the Cowboys' offensive scheme, a case of tendinitis that bothered him down the stretch of the season, and mental struggles.

"I'm not going to sit here and act like nothing has been wrong because it has," Bryant said. "Football is my life. I accept my role 100 percent but I know who I am and I know exactly what I can do.

"I know if my mind is not cluttered I can beat whoever and whenever and anybody at any time," he added. "Sometimes I let some things get to me that I shouldn't. Watch the tape. I feel like at times I look damn good and then I get to thinking about certain things and it bothers me."

Please cut this guy.

I cant stand watching him wearing no 88. He has no right to wear it. Show some dignity first.

This guy is like murray. Only about the money.

Get lost! We need guys like eliott. Someone who takes the load and can handle it.

Tbh i dont know.

If we release him we have to draft a wr very high. Maybe we will get lucky like the giants with obj.

But still i think we have to get rid of bryant. Even if it means we wont find his replacement this offseason.
