This just came to me.

Garrett will always use those around him as a scapegoat, but given the decision to bench Romo last year, Garrett must realize that he and Prescott are tied at the hip going forward.

Will Garrett at some point try to throw Prescott under the bus to save himself? Will it work?

It'll be interesting to see.

I am not sure I felt like it was his call to roll with Dak over Romo, so he kind of hitched his trailer to him. IMO

this guy says yes.

edit- looking back at how wade left and the look on his face in this picture...damn, that SB win must've been so sweat for that man. the only coach who can scheme among the lot and he was an after thought for jerry. couldnt wait to hand the keys to red ball...and waste romo's prime.

he threw Romo under the bus after the loss to the packers in 13 and started the whole media nonsense about romo calling audibles. Then locally and nationally all we heard was romo changes garrett's plays and he doesnt know what he is doing.

funny how Romo never once told the media yea i change plays because the play wouldn't work or it was a bad call because of the defense etc....he just always took the shots....in the end what did he get from garrett, his back turned to him. On top of that Garrett was reportedly really pissed romo had the press conference to explain the situation after the pittsburgh game last year.

I will say though, I am not blaming linehans offense I just think Dak has been horrid almost unwatchable.

Jerry and Jason are going to ride the Zeke excuse like a broken down horse for the next year or two. Sad thing is, I think Jerry probably half believes it too.
They had all offseason and half the season to prepare for the possibliity of Zeke being sidelined yet they act shellshocked by it.

Not sure how effective it'll be but I wouldn't be surprised if he tries it. Just like in any other workplace environment, an incompetent manager (or coach, in this case) will always torch any and all others on their way down.

We will know when Rush gets snaps during our next blowout loss, which could be as early Thursday....

after hearing more from romo now that he's no longer a cowboy, it is even more obvious romo's adjustments carried the team. garrett owes millions to romo. jerry and redball were so fast to jump on dak's coat tails to easy street and send romo to pasture. this offense lost its brain to cbs.

see I dont buy this, I think linehan is an excellent play caller and coordinator and I think that is why Romo love him so much when he got here, he finally had a guy that saw it like he did. Romo never got to get play calls from Sean Payton and Parcells was really careful with Romo in 06...and rightfully so he was super aggressive and wanted to score on every play.....So after having Garrett and then callahan whose offense didnt seem to fit at all I think Romo loved having Linehan.

the problem to me right now is basically only two of the five lineman who made up that line last year have been playing with smith/martin hurt recently and the qb is playing like a 2nd year 4th round draft pick who played in a spread offense in college. The passing game is nonexistent. Nothing linehan has tried has worked. Throw in beasley, dez and williams dropping a ball each the other night and its just been a disaster.

oh and no zeke dictating how the defenses play our offense.
