Will Jerry pay Quinn to stay?
I think he would be willing, but if Quinn really wants to be a HC again, AND right now, he is gone.

And will be fired in two years unless he hits the lottery with a QB, and then he is a coordinator for the duration.

If I were him I’d wait out another year, but Im not him.

With what's about to happen to this team due to the offense, I don't think his value will be any higher next year than it is this year. He would be wise to take a HC job if it's offered.

How many HC positions are open right now? Or were open.
Have any been filled yet?

Seems like no team is going to pony up a 1st for Payton.

This is not a great era for defensive minded head coaches. Very difficult to be successful because if you are lucky enough to find a top offensive coordinator, he won’t be around long. Most teams want their head coach to be offensive minded.

If he stays, he will most likely get a under the table promise that he'll be next in line for HC

Let's hope he does not torpedo Big Mike like Jason torpedoed Wade.

DQ wants to be a head coach. One day you guys will understand this
I'm not arguing with you, I'd just like to know how you know this for certain? He may want to stay here to replace MM.

Quinn would have left last year if the opportunity presented itself. He is likely eaten alive by his tenure in Atlanta and how that SB meltdown changed his career and the perceptions of him in the sports world. The man is an excellent coach, has proven himself in that regards and burns to be a winner as such.
