We all remember how incredible he started out the preseason. Do you think he can pick up where he left off? I for one hope so, even though it was preseason he was showing incredible promise.

I think so. I'll be happy he's back, that's for sure! Hopefully he's 100%. ....and has been working out.

Even though it was preseason, he did show a lot of promise. Let's hope he returns healthy and is ready to compete. If he should move up and take the #2 spot from Bennett, I wouldn't mind at all.

This ought to please a lot of people. I was told he was the hardest working guy in the trainers room all last season and up until the lockout. In other words he pushed himself and rehabbed his rear end off.

I hope he does for Martellus Bennett's sake. He needs more inspirational material for his YouTube videos.

Seriously, though, the more healthy effective tight ends who can fill out the active gameday rosters, the better. As far as draft strategy is concerned, I doubt that Jerry Jones and Jason Garrett will place great emphasis on the position--unless the value of the pick and the tight end candidate matches well.

I have no doubt he'll be back just fine. Torn ACLs are so common place and relatively easy fixes when done correctly.

Hope so. MB aint cutting it. Phillips was outplaying him as a rookie.

I don't have any reason to believe he won't come back.

You know the coaching staff disagrees with you, right?

My only concern with him is that people will treat him the same as Marty B.

I know Bennett was a 2nd round pick, I know that he runs his mouth and is an idiot. But people seem to get so upset that he doesn't catch 40-60 passes as a back up tight end to a future hall of famer.(This may be a bad analogy but I do worry about this)

Even if Phillips fully recovers, I could see him being a part of our offense, but lets not kid ourselves, he has only performed in pre-season and isn't going to be a huge receiving threat. He will be an H-back. I just hope people realize that and don't turn on the kid 8 weeks into the year when he has 10 catches or so.

I see no reason he wouldn't if he put in the rehab work and all indications are that the guy is a hard worker.

......and if he wouldn't have blown out his knee, Marty would be trade bait on draft day IMO. But now....gotta keep him obviously.

In what way? His 7 career catches?

I like Phillips, but you can't really rebound when you haven't been anywhere to begin with :laugh2:

He could be, hard to say. When Phillips becomes a FA along with Bennett Dallas will have to make a choice of what they will do
