Yup. I think he’s shown he has the potential to be depth immediately and start in the future, but to say 3 good preseason games wipes out an established starter is strange.

Every year there’s a guy who performs super well in camp or PS, it’s not an automatic ticket to replacing a vested starter.

Brown is a FA next year so I’m rooting for Bland/Joseph/Wright to be able to step in opposite Diggs in 2023. AB will get a solid deal in FA and I don’t think the Joneses spend on a second CB now that they are looking to give Diggs the bag.

Truth is we don't know a whole lot about him other than his instincts seem to be really good, far better than either Kelvin Joseph or Nashon Wright, who look lost a lot.

Bland looked very good in PS games. He will not overtake Lewis or Brown. Let is see how they all play first.
Maybe later on in the season, but based on past years, that won’t happen anytime soon. Then there is Joseph also.
We do not know who will be the better of the two.

Don’t be surprised if Bland is one of the inactive players.
As Wright plays ST’s, not sure if Bland does, or if he is as good as Wright on ST’s.

Trust may be an issue with Bland. Quinn should work him in slowly. Let him get some reps here and there, to earn more playing time. Some need to remember Wright, Brown, and Joseph have been here longer than Bland. And a couple of those guys were drafted in a higher round than Bland also.
