I think barring substantial change in circumstances that Linehan is as good as gone. In essence if he's not gone at the end of the year, it must mean that something has changed.

What say you on this important topic? And no we are not bringing in Dez to be the new Offensive Coordinator.

If the offense does Colts Game Redoux against Seattle, I like his chances of being fired.

Other than that, who knows?

Yes.
Heck, Jerry talks up the WR Coach more than his OC, what dat tell ya.

He is only gone if the offense flounders.

If they look remotely competent, he returns right alongside Garrett.

Witten?

The weekly and yearly question that somehow evades us. I don’t know how this guy has kept his job this long, but after 2 seasons of an offense looking like this, you’d think somewhere a line was reached with the FO.

There have been some rumors that Garrett was more involved with the gameplan last week vs the Giants. Jerry also went on record before the game saying we were going to showcase some things for post-season opponents to have to consider when game-planning our offense.

Reading between the lines-- I think Jerry and Stephen believe this team can be a legitimate contender-- and they believe Dak is a winner. This has placed a lot of pressure on Garrett-- and I think he has decided to be more hands on going forward.

Regardless of whether we win or lose-- I think this could spell the end for Linehan. If they lose tomorrow-- Linehan will be scapegoated. If they win-- Garrett will realize that Scott has been the reason the offense has been scuffling and a move will be made.

If JJ does commit big money and a long term contract to Dak-- I believe he will want to protect his ROI-- and that means bringing in an innovative offensive coordinator that can build a system around Dak's abilities instead of trying to shoehorn him into the current one.

If he's being replaced by someone that he was hired to replace I would say his leash is pretty short.

Just my take .....but if

**** we go one and done in the playoff, yes he's fired as a mandate for Garrett being extended. In fact, I can also see the entire offensive staff getting fired with the exception of maybe Colombo.

****we advance to the championship game, I think they let Garrett decide if he wanna keep him or bring in new OC.

****we advance to Super Bowl, he's safe.
