Few quick notes I took:

1. Mentioned Tapper would have been one of the top 4-3 RDE if in this draft. My sense is that Tapper would have been gone by 2nd round in this draft.

2. Continuity is very important. Scouts & Coaches have been together for few years now. Each knows the tendency of others. For example Rod Marinelli likes short, thick & quick players. Guys like Leon Lett have have influenced him on expanding his horizons for players like David Irving & Taco Charlton.

3. Scouts presented to coaches. First year they had scouts present to coaches how they go about getting their information as colleges have made it more difficult for scouts to see practices. Lets coaches see how difficult their job is. Previously it was coaches getting in front of scouts telling them what traits they want in player.

Those who watched it feel free to add on.

High praise for Tapper, coming from McClay! Seems like there's some pretty decent expectations there.

Me likey! Thanks, Wood!

I will be so surprised if Tapper works out, that back injury just has me nervous for him. It must mean I am getting old. A injury like his 15 years ago would of been a career ender. I hope they get him on the program more often, what a great guest.

I wish we could get a truly informed prognosis on Tapper. Someone in the know telling us specifically whether or not this is completely behind him, or if it is a chronic problem and a constant worry. I've seen little to nothing clarifying it and have been frustrated trying to research it myself. It's as clear as mud.

I guess, Stash, at this point, McClay's praise is about all we can expect on a prognosis. If McClay is this high on him, I assume it means that he's doing well.

We'll find out soon enough in training camp.

It's a positive endorsement to be sure. I just wish that someone actually investigated it further and got some more truth.

The Cowboys have seemed to have buttoned up the chatter within the organization. Few tidbits about JS nerve, but nothing really on Tapper and Hannah.

Nick mentioned how Chaz Green looks much fitter, said he looked like a big tight end.

I don't think even Dallas knows yet. Tapper has declared himself healthy so that's all we get for now. If it is chronic condition Dallas probably taking wait n see approach to see how he handles work load. Might be player who takes off wed similar to Romo.

From what I understand it's a permanent condition that can be managed. That doesn't really provide any clarity, as conditions can range in seriousness and management can range widely, too. As others have posted, it would be nice to have some clarity here, but it's possible that Tapper himself doesn't know exactly what will be necessary/possible yet.

He ie is unique case

I can only assume that the Cowboys medical staff have evaluated and cleared him

Can't get a more informed prognosis than that

How amazing would it be to have an opportunity to work for the Cowboys as a scout?!

His quote to the players: "I love you like a cousin, but my objective is to replace you." So harsh -- I love it!

This. The best way to do it. Hell, Belichick has Brady on the injured list every week during the season

Reporters are often scared to ask the Sith Lord for any inside info.

One of Garrett's best attributes, imo, is how coy he is. The greats, the true greats, are usually coy and aloof.

My understanding of the situation is that Tapper doesn't have an "injury". He has a condition he was born with (pars defect). I also understand it can be managed, though I have absolutely no idea what that entails.
