Will Monte's fate be the same as Ryan?

It's amazing that these two defensive coordinators had the same issues regarding injuries and having to find players to fill holes. With that being said, if the season continues this way with the defensive struggles, will Monte's faith be the same as Ryan?

The players don't look confused like they did when Ryan was here. There just getting beat by players with more talent.

I honestly think Rob would still be here had Lee not got hurt. Our D fell to pieces after his injury

Jerry probably doesnt officially fire him. The old man probably "steps aside" and marinelli takes over.
I do expect a few more coordinators to be shown the door as scapegoats. Each coordinator that goes, buys the head coach another season.

We knew then DL was thin going into the season and we knew it was extremely optimistic thinking we'd be ok given the injuries at the time to Ratliff and Spencer. We should have done more in the offseason to address the DL.

Just like Ryan the last couple of years Kiffin is doing what he can with mediocre talent. Hatcher and Lee is really the only 2 players on this D playing at a high level right now

We weren't thin going into training camp. We had about the depth you would expect. We had Ware, Hatcher and Spencer all clear the conditioning test, and Ratliff supposedly being on a short time frame to be back. We had Bass and Crawford as backups as well as Wilbur. Only two of those players were active today. We now have a depth problem, but it wasn't one we had going into training camp, which means its not something you would address in the off season.

The only thing saving Monte's butt right now is that Marinelli has a bunch of no name D-Lineman playing like a solid unit. Without that the defense is all around bad.

He will probably be scapegoated so as to avoid shifting the blame where it really belongs. Garrett isn't HC material in the NFL as of now.

They are working with in many cases off the street D lineman, and for other positions like the last series two guys Hamilton and Heath, who were fighting to even make the team.

To me I'm surprised we are as competitive as we are and with a real D and running game could be quite formidable against anyone/anywhere

If the Steelers staff gets blown up, Jerry Jones will probably try to get Dick LeBeau and move us back to a 3-4.;)

if you know how a country club works, the blame will placed squarely on kiffin just as it was on ryan. i already hear the country club media mouthpieces (babe laufenberg) scapegoating kiffin.
