I wouldn't be suprised if that hypocrite David Stern allows the Spurs to resign Brent Barry despite denying Dallas the right to resign Stackhouse. David Stern is so unethiical that I wouldn't be suprised if he allows such a move to happen.

well, the league had said that the reports that the mavs couldnt include stack in the trade were not true, so it really has no relation, plus stackhouse openly talked about coming back to the mavs even before the trade was submitted to the nba

There is nothing illegal about a player going back to the team that traded him if he is cut as long as there is not a under the table deal between the teams ...

he lives in san antonio, he is rooted deep in the community. He runs the spurs charity 5k among other things. the function was also with current and FORMER players. But from what i heard about the function he wasnt there very long and didnt socialize as much as he normally does, so it might have just been a previous promise to be there.
