It’s a passing league. All the rules have been bent to promote scoring and perfect the QB. Defenses are handcuffed these days with most of the rules favoring the offense. The reason San Francisco lost the Super Bowl to KC a few years ago was because Jimmy G missed some throws late in the game that could’ve sealed it. He got outplayed by Mahomes in the fourth quarter. Once Brock Purdy was injured against Philly in the playoffs, San Francisco was done. Your Super Bowl fate is always going rest more on the play of your QB than it is a defensive player. There’s a reason most of the league MVPs and Super Bowl MVPs are QBs.Just to clarify my thinking, you’re suggesting the 49ers’ Super Bowl hopes rest on the play of their quarterback more than Bosa? How much are they paying their quarterback? I can understand their reluctance to shell out $32 million AAV for a player that apparently no matter how well he plays it won’t garner them a Super Bowl victory…according to you. All I’m saying is whatever he signs for Parsons will sign for more.
I can't argue that. But it's the fans that pick up the tab. I just wish the players were as loyal to their teams instead of the almighty $$. Football just isn't football like it used to be.If you think the players are too rich imagine the guys who write their checks
