Will Rackley to visit the Cowboys, Rams

I think Rackley should only visit other teams just to let them know he will refuse to play with them because he wants to be drafted by Dallas even if he has to wait until the 7th round. ;)

I'm warming up to Rackley. He is highly thought of around the league, and teams with good offensive lines are looking at him. He probably will end up going late 2. So, Dallas may not have a shot in the 3rd round, where his true value probably lies.

At least Rackley isn't a big slow footed guy. He has athleticism and has a solid build to work with. The competition scares me a little bit, but I'd take him over a really big guy like Marcus Cannon all day.

I really like Rackley as our 3rd round pick. This is why we need to trade back in the 1st a few times. Add and extra 2nd and 3rd and get Cannon in the 2nd and Rackley in the 3rd. Cannon would be the prefect RG replacement for Davis and Rackley will be a great LG. Carimi, Castanzo, or Sherrod in the 1st are all an upgrade over Colombo. Resign Free at LT, then next years draft get a Center in the late 1st or 2nd round.

Rackley in 3rd would be good value.

I want the offensive line addressed big time, too.

I like Rackly, but not that much. He may not be Robert "Buster", but that is where the "Buster" came from, along with James Marten. Now, you have to hit on two 2nd and two 3rd round picks. Your risk just went way up. Plus, you just gave away the most talented, gifted, and best offensive linemen in the draft (Tyron Smith).

Cannon has a significant bust potential due to his weight and dedication questions. Dallas should get away from the big, slow footed offensive linemen, and I think Garrett is in the process of taking them in that direction.

You don't give up a blue chip offensive tackle like Tyron Smith (with big time upside), so you can pick an inferior player in the first round and get an extra pick or two among more inferior players.

You are not the only one with your philosophy of trading down at pick 9. You are not alone on wanting to trade down. I'll give you that much, but it still doesn't make trading down the solid, safe, smart move.

You don't get very many opportunities to land a blue chip, cornerstone offensive tackle like Tyron Smith.

Played LT in school, so he's got some athleticism. I'm interested 2nd or 3rd round.

I don't see Smith as a "blue chip cornerstone OT" He has never played LT and is pretty raw. Joe Thomas, Jake Long, Russell OKung are "blue chip cornerstone OTs" not players like Smith who is all about potential and upside.

Cannon was a LT at TCU and was pretty damn good. Why you say he is slow footed I don't understand. Cannon would be a beast at RG.

You say you like Rackley but not enough to draft him in the 3rd?

I agree with all three statements :laugh2:

I like Tyron, but some people are losing their damn minds over him.
