Will Randle be suspended 6 games?

Not sure why the CZ has not discussed this further, but in light of us not drafting a RB, I think it is even more relevant. Will Randle be suspended this season for domestic violence? There is a 911 tape of his girlfriend and baby mama saying he pointed a gun at her (in the vicinity of their 5 year old boy) and broke out her car window. While Kansas district attorney has declined to pursue felony charges (likely because the baby mama recanted), those are not required for the NFL to impose discipline, as we all well know from the Hardy case. And unfortunately for Randle, the incident happened after the New DV policy (6 game baseline suspension) was put in place. So he wont have any retroactivity argument that Hardy has to reduce a suspension to 2 games. Given Goodell's past history and this hot button issue, and our poor RB depth, anyone know why we're not all more collectively worried about this?

If the team expresses interest in retaining him, I'm sure that the league will push for 6 games.

I think this has already been discussed and the charges have been dismissed. What the League might do, I honestly don't know how they could do much at all but I guess anything is possible the way the league is doing things these days.

Here is what the DA said

“After reviewing the extensive investigation conducted by the Wichita Police Department, including witness interviews and analyzing available evidence, we concluded there is a lack of evidence sufficient to support felony charges against Mr. Randle,” Sedgwick County district attorney Marc Bennett said Wednesday morning in a statement. “The sufficiency of proof required in a criminal case is proof beyond a reasonable doubt. We find the nature of the available evidence in this instance is insufficient to meet that burden as to felony charges.”

To me, the fact that they found no proof to even support a "reasonable doubt" is telling.

Gooddell will suspend him soon. He just wanted to wait after the draft.

I think that is just because his baby mama (the 911 caller) recanted. Just like with Hardy. But in this instance, the DA decided not to go forward. But, as we've seen, this means nothing to Goodell.

I heard that they just discovered, a guy at the liquor store in Romo's home town, seen Romo find a penny across the street from the liquor store. .when he was 9 years old. He didn't make an effort to find out who the penny belonged to.
So Goodell and Mara are reviewing rumored video from a Walmart store that was yet to be built. And will suspend Romo for 12 games.

Randle was never officially charged...The allegations were investigated, but felony charges won't be filed due to lack of evidence.

I think the difference with the Hardy case is that the primary witness was the key to all the evidence they held against him and she cannot be foun, so they had no case and charges had to be cropped. I think if she had remained an available complaining witness, then the trial against him would've proceeded as planned.

My rusty 2 nickels.

I like Randle, i think he gives us some yards, no RB is perfect. Is he your starter, obviously not, but he at least as i thought had the mental aspect of Tashard Choice, get those yards". and i feel Randle gives us that. So your point is valid but as to why, i think if hes dropped no one would really notice. Simple as that.

I could see him potentially getting suspended. I think the league has shown that they don't care, nor need, for a person to be found guilty or completely charged with anything in order to suspend them.

We live in a society innocent until proven guilty. Look at the case with La'lel Collins. He wasn't even involved and yet the networks attached the "murder suspect" to his name causing him to drop from a being selected in the first round.

Thus Randle should not be suspended.

However, if I was the Cowboys I would look to improve the runningback position with just about anyone right now. That off the field stigma on Randle is a big cause for concern for the team and won't go away. The media will run with it and make it as though Randle was guilty.

I just cannot see a lekal justification to suspend him. Yes he is an underwear thief and a man of, ahem, emotion, but let him try to right his ways. he is only hunan and maybe he can redeem hisself with hard work.

What do you mean just like Hardy? Stop making things up, D.A does not just let domestic violence go trust me on this.

I had a women lie and take papers on me for assault, which I was arrested over a year afterwards. The arresting officer didn't even have a warrant for my arrest because he was sleeping with this women and she mentioned it to him. Once at intake new papers were drew up and I ended up in court. She didn't show the first time, it was reset (continued) to another date which she didn't show up again. It was continued and she showed up on the 3rd court date in which she told my lawyers, D.A etc. that she didn't want to go through with the charges. The D.A said she can't and I had to continue with court until judge ruling.

The state can take it over, with or without the female agreeing

I agree. But we're talking about Goodell. And there are apparently two 911 calls that corroborate the initial DV report. Also, youll note that the DA so far has just declined to pursue felony charges. Misdemeanor charges are still an option. Who knows how Goodell will view this.

If he does he does

I don't see much difference between Randle, DMC and RWilliams. One of them has to go

I was a little disappointed that they didn't draft a single RB this year. Not so much that they didn't draft a starter but they could have very easily drafted someone to replace Randle. This guy is a clown and the Cowboys have to know this. I was listening to a interview on the FAN today about his dismissal of the felony charges and this is what he had to say "There are 3 sides to every story, her side, my side and then there is the truth" what an idiot.

I have always liked Randle, even his rookie year when everybody was dogging him but he is not good enough to be pulling these off field shenanigans.
