Will Tapper make the team

Havent heard much from him this offseason. Any updates? Will he make the team? Has he done anything good?

He may make it just based on the numbers game because of all the suspensions. He definitely hasn't helped his cause though. You can see flashes of the athleticism, but the rust is obvious there and he looks so stiff at times.

Lol, he's looked really good.

Like others, he's best suited as a 3-tech. Has to learn to rush off the edge.

Looked really good is a stretch. He shows a quick first step. He has been ok against the run, maybe a little better than ok. He did have a nice rush against a double team and hit the QB just as he was throwing. He has not looked "really good". Broaddus has mentioned him getting overextended a lot and losing his footing. Have seen that at times in the games.

There is no chance he gets cut though.

Even without the suspensions, they would carry 6 DEs since some can also play DT. Mayowa, Lawrence, Irving, Charlton, Crawford............... and Tapper.

He will absolutely be on the team and anyone who thinks he won't, doesn't understand football. He made plays last night...he is getting better and better, just like Taco.
Basically a rookie just like Taco.......they will take a long look at him. When I hear Nate Newton on the sidelines say he has as good of 1st step as C. Haley it perks my ears up

Now........Newton went on to say, that is where the pass rush skill similarities end right now, but the potential is there.

Is this a serious thread? LOL J/K yes he will. Did you hear big Nate talking about him during the game last night?
I didn't get to watch it cause I was at the gym but have been searching the web for any reports about his play, and couldn't find much - recent ones anyways.

Nate said he has a Charles Haley like first step. I admit I haven't been watching him, but I also haven't heard his name called one time. I certainly wouldn't say he's been impressive like a couple homers here.

He got some pressure on a couple of plays. One of them was a hit on the qb and almost a sack.

BTW - Taco was very disruptive last night.

They are both getting better. There is more than just rushing the qb. Both of these guys are learning to be defensive linemen in the NFL.
