...or will they let this serve as a distraction and excuse for failure? At Tennessee. At Philly. Houston at home. Giants at home. Nothing is easy, but these games are winnable. Being 5-1 going into the 3 consecutive road games would make me feel a lot better about what effect TO's presence has on this team.

I just don't understand how this could possibly be a distraction. I can't imagine Flozell lined up waiting for the snap count and thinking about T.O.'s mishap rather than his blocking assignment.

I don't think think it should be a distraction, but if things go south, it could be construed as the reason for failure. My point is that these games are winnable and I hope they take care of business. If they lose, it won't be because of TO, but that's the picture the media will paint.

People point fingers at everything. It is absolutely laughable that the Eagles blame last season on Terrell. In my opinion, there's just no such thing as a "distraction" in this context. Just excuses for not executing.

If the players had expected Owens to be playing for sure this week, and if this had happened late Saturday night/early Sunday morning, THEN I could see it possibly being a distraction for this week's game.

But given that it happened on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning and Owens was back today, smiling and playing catch, I don't see how it could be distracting at all. Certainly not at this point.

For some reason, I am buying the theory that this will bring the 'Boys closer together. We will just have to wait and see, I guess.

I hope you're right. If TO becomes a rallying point for the team, he will help us in more ways than one.
