Will the Cowboys defense resort to this tactic?

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/09/04/urlacher-said-bears-faked-injuries-to-slow-down-offenses/

So Brian Urlacher said the Bears defenses were coached to fake injuries in order to slow down fast-paced offenses.

Was Marinelli behind this? Probably so.

Let's just make sure it's the Rayford and Jones and Bass doing the faking. OK, cheech?

I think this is why we are keeping Matt Johnson, because he won't have to fake a injury every 2 minutes, it will make it much more convincing.

The "injured" player must sit out 1 play. The fast paced offensives make it difficult to substitute players; therefore, the "injured" player might have a difficult time getting back into the game.

Completely expected this against Eagles, if you watch NCAA football this is standard.

Georgia was pulling that stuff against Clemson. Not a good look, Georgia. Not a good look.

You want to rest? Stop them. If I see our players flopping all over the field like a bunch of fish, I will be embarrassed.

I hope not. Nobody likes a flopper.. Nobody.. I would rather the defense gets completely tired and destroyed. As long as they are still trying and the effort is there.

The Giants did this against the Rams' no huddle offense a couple of years ago. Really--who cares? A fast paced offense is really only as good as the fit of its personnel. And Mike Vick is still required to make smart decisions and read the defense.

Not if the guy who went in for him gets "injured" on the next play.

Ya'll rather hope the defense gets tired and destroyed? Really? Please..phone Vlade Divac, Manu Ginobili, and Chris Paul right now and teach them the art of flopping.

If the defense is out there stopping teams from putting up a boat load of points I don't care. Get the take aways and stop teams from putting up the points is all I care about

It's all the games within the game. It really is no different than an offense running a fast pace to try to prevent substitutions by a defense.

Didn't Cullen Jenkins try this against us last year in that Sunday Night game?

I bet there isn't a team in the league that isnt guilty of this at one point or another.

I think the best way to stop the clock would be to injure someone on the other team then watch the highlight of them gettin JACKED UP.

The coaches should be doing everything legally possible to win the game. Faking injuries has been going on for some time.

It was my understanding that guys would flop or one of the assistant coaches would be standing outside the stadium at the breaker box to hit the lights to slow the offense in a hurry up. lol
