I think the expectation last year was no, and then Dowdle emerged

This year, HB seems to bena similar question mark. Do you see someone emerging and being a 1000 yard runner?

I don’t see a 1k rusher on this roster. Blue is more of 10-12 touches a game guy (as he was in college) Williams and Sanders are not going to get enough work.

I’m actually concerned about this RB room. It’s a weakness. Wish they would add another RB before TC or at the very least before the season starts after final cuts.

I like what I've seen from the Blue Highlights but I wanted an all-around RB in the draft. I think we all did.

Not at all enamored with the free agent RBs.

I'll admit that I would have bet against Dowdle being a 1,000 yard rusher last year and lost, but I'll make the same bet against the Cowboys RB room this year. Blue looks like a prototypical "lightning" committee back, but our two vets for the thunder role just look washed.

I hope we didn't miss out on a healthy Nick Chubb. That would have moved the needle.

If the OL lives up to their off season hype. And they pick a RB and stay with him. And they truly emphasize the run.
Then why not.

I voted no but only cause 2,000 yards wasn’t an option. I could run for 1,000 behind Cooper Beebe and the guard Tylers

No. It's going to be backfield by committee.

Instead of one back getting 1600 yards we'll likely see Javonte Williams and Jaydon Blue with 600 yards apiece, and the rest of the yards coming from any combination of Miles Sanders, Phil Mafah, and even Hunter Luepke.

Yes, Williams. Sanders is IMO about done and will be cut if Blue can grab the #2 job because he doesn't play STs and Blue and Mafah are being a little overrated like most of our rookies. I think Blue will have a role this year and I think Mafah may make the 53 but guessing PS, but Williams will get most of the carries IMO. I think Blue's role will grow as the year goes on but I don't think it will be anywhere near a time share year one or at least at the beginning.

No but Emmitt didn't reach 1,000 his rookie year either. I expect a similar trajectory for Mafah.

Averaging 59 yards per game. 15 yards per quarter. Big whoop. Stop craving mediocrity.

I think someone will. Maybe Mafah?

I think Dallas may be looking to use Luepke and Blue sort or interchangeably as backups to whoever wins the battle between Mafah, Sanders and Williams.

I see Blue also getting receiver reps and reps at TE while Luepke does his TE/FB/HB/H-back/ST role..
