I wonder if the Cowboys will open at New York that first Thursday game. Ugh!! We would have to watch the Giants raise their Super Bowl banner.
I can't think of a more marquis game for the first game of the season. The Super Bowl winner always opens the season.

very good chance of that.

Even if we dont, we know the giants will raise their ban when Dallas is there, they hate us.

Well, it'd be a great way to show them that 2008-2009 will NOT be their season.

Time to make a statement. I'd be VERY happy to open against the Giants.

It's time we show that we're the best team in the NFC. No more worrying about teams. It's time to step it up consistently from Week 1 to the Super Bowl.

I hope so!

We get a chance to find out about our team early on in the season!

The Giants playing their season opener against the Cowboys sure would be a big ratings getter. You better believe both teams will come out to play their best game.

I agree. I'd LOVE to open with the Giants. It will give us an immediate season opening test to find out how we're going to start the season off.

Nope, the nfl does not want the superbowl champs to be hammered in the first game. They will play the skins probably.:star:

I can envision alot of fights having to be broken up if that's the case

the trash from the Giant players is going to be tremendous, which is going to suck, and our players really have nothing to say in return

Hopefully we'll let our play do the talking.

That and Patrick Crayton should be barred from media sessions.

It would be great to open up against them and smack them along side their head!.

It would be a nice way to kick off the 08 season if we opened there and beat them. Specially if that lead to the season ending the same way the 95 season did when we opened, on Monday night, in New York. :)

i thought this season our opener or theres was the first game.

you would think they would change up the order.

I think the Giants demonstrated that even this is not necessary.

They started 0-2.

It is just time to start winning in November, December and January.

And not just winning. Clicking. Putting the pieces together.

It just that easy. There is no dominant team in the NFC. We could be as close as anyone.

Win late.

not just 0-2, they were one half away from being 0-3 as they were down 17-0 to the Commanders. Then butthead Gibbs went for it on 4th down and the Giants stopped them, the rest is history

At this point I really don't care how we start seasons anymore. When we ran up 45 against the Giants, it obviously didn't tell us anything about this team, because they weren't that good when it mattered.

If we start the season off poorly it won't matter much to me, as long as we end it well.
