Two years ago in the playoffs against the 49ers here in Arlington, we had a drive end when our receiver was blinded at midfield because he was looking directly at the sun. We ended up losing because we ran out of time but that drive might have been the difference in the game. So, is Jerry gonna close the curtains Sunday afternoon since the sun will be a factor in the first half? And don't quote the idiot excuse it affects both teams.

Remember how Jerry insisted on building the nation's only sports arena that faces east west lol?

If Jerry really wants to win, the curtains will be closed. Let's hope we don't lose the game on a play where our players can't locate the ball due to the sun.

Either way, this is our best chance to reach the conf championship in almost 30 years so let's go Pokes!!

The nation's only sports arena that faces east-west?

That is not even remotely true. Only about 70% of NFL stadiums face North-South

it isn't the only east-west building for sports, but you are right, most are northwest/southeast etc

Let me tell you why this doesn't matter first of all this time of year with the game start of 3:25 it gets dark around 5:30 maybe 6 but the sun's no longer at an angle at that time twerking affect the game in my opinion but to bolster this it's supposed to be a cold front and I don't think there's gonna be much sun literally supposed to be at least cloudy with chances of freezing precip which I don't think there's gonna be enough rain but there's gonna be a lot of clouds so again are you crying cause you think we lost that game because of that or was there a whole bunch of other issues in that game we could go back to??

So are you blaming the 14 penalties in that game 11 by the offensive line and once again no physical offensive line and no run game caused us to lose that game ohh and then there was the first half in which deebo Samuels averaged about 10 yards per carry do you remember that I mean the game might have been close but they ate up so much clock on some drives our offense didn't get a bunch of chances ohh and then there was a play calling,..

So the excuse train is it's Jerry's fault for building the stadium to where you can only remember three times since 2009 when it was built that the sun affected a player yet you don't realize that the outdoor stadiums all have that issue because the sun comes in 100% guys wear black or to their eyes they try to wear tinted face mask because when you play outdoors you know the sun is right above your head it's east it's W it's South it's everywhere... I mean football was played outside right and I realized there's a magnifying effect where the sun can come in just at the wrong time but that's part of stadiums just like mud certain turf certain weather snow ice I mean you literally are making the biggest excuse of why some people don't like Cowboys fans both teams have to adjust to that if it is even in play which it's only been three times for what I can remember...

You know to the big complaint group the ones that do nothing but cry and whine and start posts like this yes that would be you finding ways to blame everything when weather and certain parts of home field which by the way I think we've won eighteen straight games at home now and somehow you're gonna bring up the sun as a partial excuse pregame....

And somehow we've managed to win eighteen straight games there and have a true home field advantage for scoring like 36 points per game at home yet this guys gonna bring up the curtains as if all stadiums especially outdoor stadiums have bad weather or sun in your eyes there's a reason people wear that black under their eyes and some people put it all over their faces I mean there was only three times since 2009 I remember there were some glare in some players eyes but he forgot to talk about the 14 penalties that game last time we were played at home against the 49ers and all the other problems in that game he's gonna blame the curtains

Jerry does not appear to learn from his mistakes, but there is always a first time
maybe Kansas City ought to put a roof on there so they don't have to play in -30° wind chill I mean I guess that's not gonna affect the players at all how about all the times we played in the mud at Candlestick park or play where there's massive winds that's affecting the game and the ball or very cold ice and snow yet three times since 2009 we can remember possibly those windows being an issue in a game which everyone knows is there but if you check the weather report supposed to be pretty cloudy possibly some precipitation and this game starts at 3:30 which the sun starts heading downward by 5:30 it's gone so how is it what it might be twice shining through if there's sun../. Is that what the lesson needs to be learned we're gonna blame turf we're gonna blame windows but we're not gonna blame the players for having 14 penalties or the defense can't stop the run or the bad play calling or dropped interceptions I mean I don't know drop footballs fumbles missed field goals yeah these are all things that have happened in the last three playoff losses... But hey Jerry should learn to put up windows but they haven't been have curtains on those windows since 2009 and we can only remember maybe three times it affected a play or a player which happens outdoors or in other stadiums all the time you remember people complaining that the punts were gonna hit the big screen in the center of the field how many times have it happened maybe twice three times and people were purposely trying to hit it and hardly ever managed to do so so all the complaints could be checked at the door because whatever happens on the field the windows aren't gonna affect a win or a loss....

I’ve seen them. They use them for college and HS games there. I’ve been to a half dozen high school playoff games there over the years and they always use the curtains. At least the games I saw. I’ve been to two T3xas Tech-Baylor games there a few years ago and they used them.

He means at a Dallas cowboy game that's all it matters here that's the actual subject we're talking about and I think I covered it all my other responses it's insane to start a post about those windows since we've had that place since 2009 and they haven't put up curtains and I can only remember three instances where it might have become a factor but how is it any more of a factor than playing outdoors with the sun in your eyes or ice snow wind I mean there's all kinds of great things that come at stadiums plus this weekend I believe it's gonna be pretty cloudy it gets dark pretty quick this time of year so I doubt it's gonna be a factor that needs its own subject...

Forecast for Sunday is mostly cloudy, so shouldn't be an issue.
Exactly why I can bring this up without looking at the weather report and the fact is they're not putting curtains up so why keep talking about it literally at 3:30 PM there's almost no sun it's going way down over the horizon like dropping like an anchor because it gets dark around 5:30 therefore the game starts at 3:30 how much can it be a factor and we've been in there since 2009 and never put curtains up they're not putting curtains up and it really hasn't been that big a factor no more than getting sun in your eyes at an open stadium or having the wind the ice the cold or the snow affect the game so there's three instances I can remember that somebody actually had sun in their eyes that's it since 2009 said yet we need our whole new thread on it so we can complain more about Jerry this is just a hidden Jerry narrative they just wanna complain about Jerry just in case we lose but they forget at that game two years ago there were 14 penalties and there were an offensive line that was not functioning well there was no run game one-dimensional offense deebo Samuels averaged like 10 yards per carry in the first half but hey let's bring up the glass windows wow sunlight come into the stadium,,,

I believe you. So that begs the question why the Cowboys are shooting themselves in the foot by not using them during games?
