Will the new QB rule help Bledsoe ?

One of the new QB rules states something like you cannot go after the QB's lower legs. Probably based on what happened to Carson Palmer during the Pittsburgh playoff game.

I don't know the exact terminology of the rule, but one thing I think it states is that once the QB takes off running, all bets are off. Well, we all know that Bledsoe doesn't take off running to often

Bledsoe is also a big strong guy and is most vulnerable to shots at his lower legs. Now defenders have to hit him high where he has the strength to stand in there, take the hit and still make a throw.

Does it seem to you folks that this rule will help pocket passers more than the running QB Vick type ? Guys crawling on the ground won't be able to hit Bledsoe until they stand up ?

I am interpreting this rule correctly ? What do you guys think ?

Lol...Did I read somewhere that Bledsoe absolutly hate the pigeons that sit on his helmet when he is standing in the pocket to make a pass.

Mike Pereira showed a clip of a DL rolling into Drew's legs when he was explaining the rationale for the rule change. It's a rule that will help reduce injuries for all passers.

THis is the only rule I agree with.

If you think about it they did a real good job with it. A below the Knee tackle is almost never going to happen and when it does they probably wont even call it because they still have to figure out if the tackle could of been avoided, If not then the tackle is legit even if it's below the knees.

I think that this will help Bledsoe. It looks like a whole bunch of things are gonna make Bledsoe better this year, one of them being his throwing weapons, Owens, Glenn, and Witten. Watch out! Bledsoe is gonna have a career year!

Well, I do think the new rule will help Bledsoe a lot. He's gonna be in the pocket 99.9% of the time. Good rule change.

I think this is good for the league, let alone Bledsoe. QBs need to be watching down the field, not down at their knees.
