Will The Next Two Games Tell Us All We Need To Know?

For some reason, I'm really not that worried about the Raiders. I think our pass defense will bring it for this game. I feel like our team has a lot of confidence right now scoring points. Putting up 28 and 34 points on the road is outstanding and I don't see why, we couldn't score another 30+ against the Raiders too. We've played two games on the West coast already this season and have a month of practice in Oxnard on top of that. Heck, the team probably feels more at home in California than Texas at this point.

No wonder we were so flat in Dallas.

I like how parcells kept them up in the bay area for the week though as opposed to flying home and the back. So there's no excuse at least from a 'being fresh' standpoint. I think this would be the perfect chance for our defense to have a break out game...espceally Mr. Ware and his other rookie buddies!

The consensus opinion is that this is going to be a high scoring shootout type of game...but I won't be surprised if we win 17-14 either. It's a tough game no matter what way you slice it but if we are for real we need to take it.

I agree the schedule gets harder in the second half. But my point was there was a widespread expectation that this team will get better as we go along. If the rookies continue to progress, we can play with anybody. But the defense does have to get better and Parcells/Payton need to call better games.

Wasn't much of your low expectations centered on having Bledsoe as our QB?

I don't expect anyone to get better... if they do terrific but I don't expect them to suddenly turn on a switch and become supermen over the last half of the season.

I wouldn't consider a .500 season to be a "low expectation". That would be the 2nd best season we've had around here over the last 6 years.
