It's too expensive to support from a world wide fan base. It's only really possible in North America where we have a tradition of spending heavily on our sports.

Also there is a direct correlation to the growth of a sport and the participation/success of locals.

I don't think there will be too many Croatians spending time or money watching the Dallas Cowboys.
