Ok I am interested to see how both teams do this season, in the rushing game.
Why ? because they are kinda similar. And Murray is on that team.
1.They both aquired a RB from another team, Murray and Morris
2.They both then drafted high to get the 2 star RB's of the draft
3.They both say they want to run the ball more, and be primarily a run team.
4. Murray Henry,McCluster vs Elliot McFadden and Morris
5.They both want to use the run to protect their QB, or make things easier for the QB

Dallas has the edge with the known OL. they have shown they can run block good,
I dont know about the Titans OL, I know one of them got hurt in OTA's
But it is easier for some linemen to run block than it is to pass block.

But if they can run block, Murray and Henry could rack up some yards.
I also expect Mariota to use Murray with dump off passes to counter pass rush.
I think Romo should do that with Elliot too.

So anyone think Titans can get more rush yards total than the Cowboys?? ( all backs and qb)
Mariota is also a running QB but I dont expect him to do whole lot of that, but still should
get 200 or so over season.

Could be interesting to see what each team does this season, I think these 2 teams
have the best tandem of RB's in NFL.

Mariota may run for 500 yards and make it close. Yards from scrimmage by RB's will be heavily in Dallas' favor.

We have the edge in QB as well, which can definitely help the run game as well. Romo knows when to check to a run or check out of one much better than Mariotta. Nothing at all against their QB, he just doesnt have the experience yet.
In summary, not a chance.

I'm not sure it matters, or what it will say if they do. Carolina and Seattle finished 2 and 3, but they had QBs who contributed greatly to the total. Denver was 17th. New England 30th.

If our gas can no-turnover defense doesn't improve we are going to probably be a lot closer to setting passing records.

But yet we were ranked what in pass defense?

I said passing records on offense from throwing the ball so much.

And we didn't give up many total passing yards because there was no need to bother for other teams half the time. Our yards per attempt and passer rating against were in their normal bottom 10 range.

I can see the titans making the playoffs, or winning the div this season.
"If" their run game works good.
last year and the year before, this is a weak div.

Mariota is going to get a significant amount of rushing yards... particularly in comparison to Romo.

Take the QB yardage away and I'm pretty confident Dallas will out rush Tenn by a healthy margin. Part of that is because I think the Dallas RB's are very good and part is because I have zero confidence in Murray to be a difference maker anymore.

Well we will find out about murray this season, and henry too.
I think his time in phil was a joke, and he had no chance to do any good.

They play Minnesota game 1 , we play the giants.
I dont know how good minn run defense was last year, and the giants were not so good, but added
some new guys on the line.

I think in those games both giants and minn will try mainly to shut down the run games and make them
win with the pass.

looking at rankings, and they are not the worst, midrange like the cowboys.

The only dude they got is Kenny Britt or whatever, and I don't even know if he's still on their team. I guess if you're including tight ends (Delanie Walker) then they aren't the worst. But just recievers I would've ranked the Vikings last and Titans second to last... but not anymore since Minnesotta drafted Treadwell.

The top 2 were starters last year wright was ranked above all the dallas wr last year by stats yds per game.
The HC has made it known they have to do better this year, and have to earn the starting job.
Alex Tanney is still a bkup qb for them.

there's a 50/50 chance that they will.

there's also a 50/50 chance that they won't.

it's a complex situation you pose.

Yea. Similar to Seattle two years ago, when Wilson had 800 or whatever it was.
