Will there be a change in free agency?

Will they change how they approach free agency?

I think they don’t have a choice to bring in a few. Hopefully it’s not all bottom feeders we’ve never heard of….
that would be odd, we're usually around the rim at the top!!!

They'll sit out the first week of free agency. They'll then bring a few guys in during the second week, only to lowball them, and then announce that they 'tried' but couldn't come to an agreement with any of them. By the third week, they will sign a few guys to the practice squad. The 2025 free agency period will then be deemed a success by Stephen.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over & over and expecting a different result. Jerry and Stephen are both insane.

Expect to see more signings, but of the same caliber as before.

Ya know, the guys that are probably a few years past their prime, but may have something left in the tank.

So you'll get like 7 Eric Kendricks this year.

I said somewhat. I think there will be a concerted effort to at least make a move in the first week. Not to target a player but stop all the talk that Dallas doesn't do anything in FA. Then they will go back to their old ways. I have no confidence they target the right player though.

i don’t expect much change, players who are willing to sign for a cheeseburger and fries will certainly be on the list

I honestly think they'll TRY to please us, they know that the fans are mad and upset about how they're not spending. They'll make an impulsive move and will sign someone that we shouldn't just to say that they made a big move! That move will be Tee Higgins!
I could see this, but I think it'll be Najee Harris

I think the process of free agency should be changed in the NFL. I believe that teams that perform well in player evaluation are handicapped by not being able to benefit enough from this skill.

The only advantage of drafting really well is having these players in their formative years. When they are just reaching their peak, they become free agents with the ability to benefit other teams. This could be stunting development and consistency.

I hope they would adopt new rules such as only 75% of a player's new contract counts against the cap if that team originally drafted the player.

I think this would benefit the NFL overall in terms of fan interest. There is a decline in fan loyalty. Soaring ticket prices and pay TV are issues but I also think that it is difficult to show loyalty to particular players if you are the fan of a specific team.

Because of free agency, the guy you love this season could very well be the guy you root against next season. Strictly from a fan's point of view, it seems almost like a betrayal. With a new rule like the one mentioned, more players would be willing to stick with their original team.

I would also like to see a salary cap placed on QB's. Due to the influence they have on the outcome of games, their agents have the ability to demand contracts that are extremely nonproportional to the other positions. QB's should be paid more, but certainly not up to 1000% more than other important contributors to the team.

I believe there should be a ceiling to QB contracts, for example, it cannot exceed 15% of the entire cap.

I hate the idea of tanking a season just to obtain an advantage in the following draft. And why should good teams be automatically disqualified from drafting top players without giving up almost all other draft value simply because they are a good team?

I think other teams should have some advantage in the name of parity, but a favored position in every round?

I think the entire1st round should be a lottery with the poorest team given the most probability of winning. This ensures that most of the best players will go those teams with the most need, but better teams will sometimes get opportunities. Starting with the 2nd round the draft would proceed in the traditional manner.
