Will they trade Micah?

If Dallas had let Dak walk, then trading Parsons makes all kinds of sense. Dallas would then have the draft capital and cap space to go after a real QB and build out the rest of the roster too. I'm afraid with Dak's new deal, it won't make much difference either way.

The negative around the Dallas area when it comes to the Cowboys is overwhelming. There is no way they trade Parsons. Most importantly if you wanted to trade Parsons you would have never extended Dak or CeeDee. It would be better to go full rebuild. Then you might still have gotten fans and media to pay attention to the Cowboys. Of course you would have needed a stud quarterback to draft and Sanders is not it.

The entire point of the draft is adding talented players, usually on a cheap contract, then retain that talent.

Trading Micah, especially after paying Dak and Ceedee, would be asinine.

Paying little Micah after paying Dak and '8 track tape' would be more asinine. They can't keep giving out these big numbers if they want to build a solid team. Three big paid players do not make a 53 roster.

Do you think rather than signing him to some huge contract they may make a trade on draft day with someone? Yes he’s good but I just don’t like players with big mouths in this case big contracts and to be honest he disappears, but what do I know… Geri will figure it out – not.
Better question. If you are Micah do you think you have a chance to win a SB with GM Jethro???

Parsons is elite. An absolute alpha. Complete stud. Truly disruptive game changing player. No question.

Here's the fear. He's undersized, and getting locked up with OL that have 75 pounds on him will take its toll. His game is all speed, and when a speed player loses a step, what do they have left? Jerry could sign him to a massive 5 year deal, and be regretting it by year 3.

Parsons is a luxury that a team with too many holes can't afford....deal him if the picks are plentiful
Ditto, he's a good player that commands attention but by himself he's not that big of a presence on field. Stick a couple of premium DTs on the line and he might be unstoppable but what are the odds of that happening? Slim! Trade him and work on creating a balanced team Jerry!

GM Jethro says, "It's not your time, and you will patiently wait until September, like Dak."

The question is if they traded Micah would it be on par or worse than the Lucka trade?

I think they will sign him.

Just because if there is a way to make a bad decision they will find it.

The longer they wait the worse it gets.
Thats so wrong.

I know the narrative from people who dont understand how salaries for players work.
And seriously it makes me mad that people just copy paste without thinking what other doofies tell them.

If he doesnt up his game he will cost them exactly the same relative to the year before.

This is a tricky one
Trading him for picks doesn’t fix the major issue ( our QB )
So do they sign him? ( hopefully the duration is close to what we have left with the QB )
Because without him that really does expose of DBs
His pash rush makes them better

They wouldn't even be in the same realm. Micah would command probably something like 2 first round picks and a 2nd. Cowboys aren't currently in a win now window either.

Luka got shipped for a 2029 first rounder and an injury prone 32-year-old. This was also coming off a season in which they made the finals + invested future picks in making the team better now so they could win.

So now your windows gone, your premium picks are mostly gone the next 4 seasons, you most likely won't have any legit prospects in the pipeline, and free agents won't want to play with you.
