Will they trade Micah?

You don't know right now who is going to have high picks in the 2026 draft. Any team that is likely to be in that situation is likely also not in the market to trading picks and paying record contracts. That is the kind of move you make you are going for it and trying to win now and those teams are not drafting in the top 10. Buffalo could make that trade, the Ravens could make that trade, and even the Chiefs could make that trade, maybe Detroit (cap aside) would make that trade, but teams that are drafting in the top 10 are not making that trade.
I’m ALL IN for the 2026 Draft and trading Parsons now for 2026 draft capital would be a great move to position the Cowboys for the top pick! 12-5 seasons didn’t do squat for the Cowboys. I would rather go 1-16 or 2–15 and draft a QB who could possibly be a generational QB in the NFL. This is the perfect time to just lay down this season, especially with both Washington and Philly battling it out for the Eastern Division this yr!

Possible trades I would make if I was GM:

1. Parsons to the Raiders for 6th pick and a 3rd and a 1st next year.
2. Parsons to the Bears for the 10th and a 2nd and a 1st next year.
3. Parsons to any team drafting after the 15th pick for this years first and 2 first rounders in the next 2 years.

But again you are not going to get the top pick. There is maybe a 1% you get a top pick and a 2-3% chance you either have it or the team that has it is willing to trade it for the capital you can offer. A late 1st and a mid 1st do not get you to 1. 2 late 1s and a mid 1 do not get you to 1. Basically the capital to get to 1 does not exist. So the idea of getting Archie is just an illusion. Basically you are trading Micah with the hopes of drafting Micah (who again was the best player in his draft class). Again though it bares repeating that Mazi Smith, Tyler Smith. and Tyler Guyton are the last 3 first round picks. Would you really trade 2 of them for Micah because that is what we are talking about?

Trade him for what? He is one of the only entertaining players on this team. A

You can’t get 3 firsts for a guy also needing a mega deal on top of that. Maybe a year and a half ago but not one GM is gonna give up 3 firsts and also the largest defensive contract ever:

Having already failing to retain DLaw, the FO must keep Micah in Dallas. The news of keeping Osa is good. But losing JLew was hurtful. I'm concerned about the loses of talent on this defense. I'm not feeling good about this team in 2025.

No one was feeling good last year.

Get rid of Parsons for possibly a couple of high picks, who's act is wearing pretty thin with most of his mates. Go into the 2025 season with one thing in mind and that's to lose as many games as possible. The Cowboys should give themselves a chance to earn the No. 1 and if they don't then build a war chest of picks that can be traded to a team that doesn't need a QB and ends up with the No. 1 pick in the 2026 draft. Hell, if the Boys end up with the 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th pick and have a chance to trade for the NO. 1 pick, they should offer every pick they have in the 2026 draft for the No. 1 pick, in return we end up with Arch Manning.

Trade? They are going to make him the highest paid Defensive player in history! I mean, thats more imortant than winning Super Bowls right?

Again you arent getting high picks. You are getting late 1s because any team making that trade is not a team trying to make the playoffs but trying to make it to the Super Bowl. So even if you get a 1st in 2026 and a 1st in 2027 (the latter of which you would also assume is a late 1) they do not have enough resources to get to 1. A mid 1st and a pick in the 20s do not get you to 1. Even if you add in EVERY single pick in 2026 AND the 1st in 2027 that does not get you to 1. A team at 5 can offer pick 5, their 2nd, and their 1st next year, and that is a higher bid than whatever the Cowboys can offer.

So lets just throw the idea of Manning in the trash because it simply is not going to happen. Therefore we can back up and say: Guyton. Tyler Smith, and Mazi Smith, are the last 3 Cowboys 1st round picks (and are probably still higher than where these picks would be) and you are trading 2 of them for Micah Parsons. That is a terrible deal.

What else can you expect from our GM?

We are about to have the most expensive Offensive player of all time, the most expensive Defensive player of all time and the most expensive Special teams player of all time.
