Will things be different now that A.J Feeley is starting tomorrow?

Just found out on the NFLN that Bradford won't start which I feel is because of his performance not his ankle and now you have a veteran QB who has played well in his career. I remember Feeley almost leading the Eagles to a victory over the undefeated Patriots in 2007. Now I don't have a good feeling about this game. Anyone else concerned?

Bradford is the much, much better qb and he is hurt. He wasn't able to practice all week with a high ankle sprain. So no.

No lol. Feeler is a serviceable backup I'll give you that, but he's going up against an elite defense and he's got pretty much no one to throw to. Brandon Lloyd is a decent receiver, but it's pretty clear that last year was a fluke. Now that NFL teams know who he is he's had a hard time getting separation because he just lacks speed.

That's what scares me, serviceable means...."Does what he is told"

lol

Naw, these Rams ain't the '07 Eagles. We're still as safe a bet to win tomorrow as there ever is in the NFL. Not that that is saying much.

Yes. Ware will now break the single season sack record in the 1st half, instead of the entire game.

He did have a solid game, a few touchdowns, but he turned the ball over a lot. He does that. 27-29 touchdown to interception ratio, I guess that's not AWFUL for an NFL backup quarterback, but it's bad. He's completed 56% of his passes throughout his career, that says he's pretty inaccurate. The fact that this is his 5th different team in his 10th year says a lot imo. I think he's a guy who's capable of putting up big games with big numbers, but if he goes out and puts up 300 yards and 3 touchdowns, I'd expect just as many turnovers. Not to mention he's getting up there in age at 34. His lack of accuracy will hold him back in today's NFL now more than ever.

I may be wrong, but I think they come out with a fairly safe gameplan as far as passing the ball goes. Brandon Lloyd is good, but I don't see him being a huge deep threat tomorrow, especially with it being his first week on the team. You beat Brandon Lloyd and contain Steven Jackson and I don't think they've got any real threats tomorrow. A.J. Feeley could probably go to New England and backup Brady and possibly look like an average to good quarterback, but he's going to be starting for a pretty untalented offense tomorrow, I can see him having a God awful game tomorrow. I'm talking Josh McCown awful.

It's been reported for days that Bradford may or may not play so I'm sure the Cowboys have done some homework on Feeley. There's never a good time to be riding a 2 game losing streak but if there was this would be it for the Cowboys going up against an 0-5 team that's stuck playing their backup QB. If the Cowboys were riding a 2 or 3 game winning streak and everyone was talking the team up this game would scare the hell out of me! It would be the perfect trap game for a team on a roll that's feeling good about themselves. Where the Cowboys are now they can't afford to slip up against a bad team like this.

I'm concerned because benched players tend to do well when they get a chance and then fade again. Not because I think long term Feeley is a better QB.

It'll be a four point game either way. :D

:( :laugh1:

The Lunch Break guys were saying the other day that the Rams' average losing margin was 17 points. Assuming that's correct, that's amazing. Almost impossible, even, in the NFL.

Really, this and the Miami Thanksgiving day game will probably be the most uninteresting games of the year.

I could live with uninteresting.

He's a veteran. I think that might help them in SOME ways in dealing with some of the looks our defense might give.

I still think we win a close one though.

Im not concerned about Feely. We have Rob Ryan running our defense, so I don't expect our defense to suddenly wilt against a struggling offense that's being run by the back up QB.

Feeley isnt as bad as what people think. I'm worried......:laugh1:

He's not a bad player, but he's a major step down from Bradford.

It's always a little concerning anytime you have a veteran backup QB starting for a bad team who's starter hasn't won a game all season because the backup doesn't have much to lose. If they have a good performance and were to pull off the upset the film is there for other teams that may have QB issues. Veteran backups especially someone like Feeley who's stuck behind a young QB like Bradford see this as an opportunity to maybe get a starting gig elsewhere.
