Will this be the first big test for our D? Other than the little BS comebacaks teams had on our D towards the end, and the supposedly we "weren't prepared for the Eagles"(we can't make that excuse now) will this be the first big test to see what our Secondary/D is made of?

Rob will get tested. As will our corners, for some reason, I am not even nervous this game like i usually would be. More excited to see what we can do.

No if we win it wasn't a big game.

I don't think anyone with half a brain can say that.

Not even Cowboy homers, who think Eli is no good.

Eli is a good QB, this game is like a playoff game.

this will be the first non awful offense we will face since the eagles.

I was being sarcastic of course.

I agree Eli is a good QB, but I feel his system helps him out a lot.

This will be a test for our team. And I believe we have studied hard and are ready.

What's odd for me is that I don't know how to feel going into the game. I am worried about how I will feel if we lose, though. I was totally numb after last week's loss. Here's another "big game." There are too many of them because we keep shooting ourselves in the foot. We need to win and gain some darn separation in the division.

Back to your topic, Frozen700, yes the defense will be tested. I hope the corners don't give up 20 yard cushions. I have seen this defense play well early in the season, so all I can do is hope to see that again. Maybe Sean Lee will return to his game-changing plays. Maybe Ware will have one of his monster games. Maybe Sensy will make us happy we re-signed him. I'd love for Spencer to step up big time. We need a proactive defense, not a reactive one. Ever heard of turnovers? Would be nice to see them get a few tonight.

Yeah that part i agree so much with. I don't know why.

I guess I am hoping for miles to come in and be superman, but we will see.

I agree with everything you said.

Ugh you could say the same about pretty much every quarterback. He's one of the best quarterbacks in the game. His stats would be even better if his recievers were more consistent catching the football. People killed him last year for leading the league in picks last year, but at least half of them if not more were on his recievers. I'd still take Romo over him, but there's no denying Eli is one of the best.

I'm not saying he isn't.

what system would that be?

He's just a good QB, period.

I think he meant even though Eli is good, he is protected by some of the play calls.

That's exactly what I meant. Coughlin knows how to use him. Knows what he can and can't do.

No, the first big test was against Philly and the Cowboys D scored a big fat F that night. Hopefully Ryan has the defense prepared tonight to avoid another failing grade.

Tonight is the biggest game of Garrett's tenure as head coach. If he wins this game, it is almost a lock for us to win the division.

We would have to lose to both Philly and New York and have New York win out to lose the division. While possible, not highly probable.

This is essentially a playoff game. If we can't win this we don't deserve to advance.

I feel the same way, however I am reading in other threads that this game is not all that important, that we still have just as good a chance as any to win the division.

I call that line of thinking bs.............if we cant beat the Giants at home then why would we be thinking a win in week 17 in New York is going to be so simple.

I think it is some posters, who I will not mention, that are trying to already make the excuse for Garrett that a loss is not that big of a deal. I just dont agree with that, this is Garrett's biggest game of his head coach tenure.
