Will this game finally convince Garrett to run more?

I'd love to say "Yes," but Murray ran for 253 yards against the Rams in 2011 and that didn't transform Dallas into a running team from that point on, did it?

DeMarco had 175 yds against the Rams last year, so we're a running team against them at least.

I think we'll continue to run the ball as long as we're effective running the ball. But then, I don't think that's all that different from what we've wanted to do all along. The difference is the relative effectiveness.

I sure hope they finally get it. Everyone else can see it.

If not, it will be a glaring, inexcusable mistake that they won't ever recover from.

I'll be optimistic about it and believe that they do get it.

At this point, no choice. Romo is nowhere near the qb he was. His throws are off and his velocity is down. Need to lean on the running game and hope Romo improves.

I think Romo has kinda forced the issue with how bad he's been looking.

I think with Romo's injury/rustiness, he's forced to run the ball. When/if Romo gets back to healthy, then we'll really see if anything has changed.

It had to be killing him not to throw the ball. Good thing it's no longer up to him though.

How could it be killing him, when it was working, and they were in the lead....I would believe he was enjoying it....

Detroit few years back. How about last week? 2nd 1 near the goal line ring a bell?

This is the stuff I thought would come up. Second guessing play calling is not the same thing as a team not relying on it's running game. And I'm not second guessing us going for the end zone fade to Dez until teams start to actually take it away.

But prior to this season, this was a team that could get good yardage on the ground when we weren't in short yardage situations. In short yardage, we failed to convert, which is why the team adapted by throwing to Beasley or Dez. I don't blame them for that. So far early this season, we're doing a lot better job on the short yardage running plays, which is great. I expect us to rely on it as long as it works, as it's higher percentage stuff if you can make it work.
