guys, practicing in the air conditioning, just curious will this hurt us. Even when jimmy was here weve been practicing in the heat and did well with that. We got miami early and always hot at texas stadium early. Don't buy this wearing down end of year, not saying over work them but at least get them used to the heat going into the year.

Dallas will finish up training camp and back at Valley Ranch after the Indy game where temps are around 100 degrees the guys will get plenty of time to practice in the Texas Heat

Keep in mind the disaster which resulted from over-training in scorching heat under Campo's reign.

They were exhausted and got their hats handed to them by the Eagles in the 'Pickle Juice' game.

I think there's a line between being acclimated to the heat and being over-exposed to it.

And given the team's December fade under Parcells, I'm more inclined to give this new approach a chance.

We've spent 2 weeks in the air conditioned Dome and now the 2nd half of the Cowboys TC moves back to VR on Friday (meetings) and then on Saturday is where the real practice begins. The team will have plenty of time to be exposed to the heat during the week leading up to the Broncos game also in Dallas.

Also don't buy into the idea that 2 weeks in the Dome in late July/Aug followed by at least a week of practice in the heat at VR will effect our play in September here in Dallas against the Giants in an evening game.

It's an interesting question.

One of the things I'm terribly concerned about is one of these enormous chunks of sky landing on Romo and Rowdy as they're posing with hot chicks for training camp photo-ops.

We would have no QB, no mascot, and fewer hot chicks.

And I would blame you and your kind.

Daryl Johnston has always said that those training camps wore them out and that it took them a couple of weeks to recover from them. Players tend to whine about things like that, but I think Daryl is a guy you can buy what he's selling on the subject.

If I recall correctly, the last time we had pansy camp, Philly came out and destroyed us on opening day...

Well from what I've been hearing from people who have been, it isn't exactly movie theater cold in the Alamodome...it's over 80 degrees and pretty humid, far warmer and more humid than Oxnard was.

A resounding no. I guess not practicing in the blazing southern heat hurt the Bears last year and the Pats many years before that. Green Bay has never fielded a competitive team either...

Wow, good thing those teams aren't going to be a threat in the postseason...

ATL though, they practice in freaking Georgia and the Cards practice in Arizona, they'll kickass this year...

The Cards practice in Flagstaff, which is dry and cool, so not a great example.;)

I live in AZ, flagstaff isn't as hot as Phoenix, but it's still not cool.

And 1fisher, I was responding to the absurdity that is saying by not being acclimated to the heat, you'll have a bad September.

Phoenix 7 day:

103/81, 103/83, 102/84, 104/85, 107/88, 109/88, 107/86

Flagstaff 7 day:

77/48, 78/52, 77/54, 80/56, 80/55, 76/55, 82/55

Hmmm, Flags highest high temp was 1 degree over our lowest low temp...your high temp is where we in Phoenix set our AC, dude.:lmao2:

Phillips has already said Dallas will get some work out in the heat when they return home. Cowboys will be facing 100 degree weather. So 1st part of camp was inside and 2nd part of camp will be a lot of outside work. I think too much is being made over this

Look at the schedule and tell me which games early in the season will be brutally hot...

NYG @ 8:00 pm
@ Miami
@ Chicago
St Louis @ noon
@ Buffalo

I see one maybe two... at Miami who sucks, and St Louis at home. If that's all we have to worry about, I'm not going to ***** about practicing inside.

What people don't realize is that Wade is actually preparing us for our frigid northeast opponents by practicing in the cool Alamodome.

So you live and you learn.
