. . . Tracy McGrady being out for the year on Houston Rockets?
Both are great talents, but their insistence on the game revolving around them greatly detracts from the team. To be sure, McGrady added an unprecedented scoring dimension to the Rockets offense. But when he hogged the ball all the time, everyone waited around for him to do something, and the offense stagnated and went up and down with him. Now that he's gone, the offense runs a lot more smoothly and efficiently, and the Rockets are enjoying a lot of success without him.
Similarly, when TO is gone, Romo won't be worried about looking first to TO. And when does go to him, he won't see TO dropping balls or screwing routes up. In addition, and most importantly, the team won't be divided into certain cliques with him around.
Will Me-Oh's departure result in something like Me-Mac's absence from the Rockets? We'll see.
