Will TWill be back with Cowboys in 2018?

Didn’t TWill sign line a 3 year contract? It wasn’t very much. He will be here. Dez will be here. We will draft a young WR and bring some in. Hoping to develop one this coming season. Problem is that JG won’t use him much. You have to be in his system for like 3 years before he uses young talent. Unless they are forced in by injuries or a high 1st round pick.

His 2018 salary is guaranteed. They'd be out $3.75 million just from the signing bonus if they could trade him. They'd be out a lot more with a release. The fact that the article doesn't even examine the cap ramifications of his release makes me think that it's a site that's not even worth reading.

Agreed. This is idiotic fan blog nonsense by someone who couldn't even be bothered to look up the most basic facts of the matter first.

We need to surround Dak with an offense similar to Brady.

Brady usually doesn’t mesh well with bigger, possession receivers either but he has a coach/GM smart enough to put players around him to maximize his abilities.

Imagine if Dak had a couple receivers that got open with quickness similar to Beasley and a tight end that can actually make a play with the ball in his hand. A playmaking tight end may be this team’s biggest need considering how much Dak loves to throw to the tight end and the lack of playmaking ability there.

It’s not a coincidence that Keenum turned his career around this season with the Vikings. He has a tight end that can make plays, a strong running game and receivers that get open.

Notice the two QBs mention also don't have a true go-to receiver. Uses 3-4 effectively........

Yeah lets lose money and take a salary cap hit just to release a productive player

Other than Beasley, Witten and Brown...the wide receiver position needs an overhaul. Dez is so over rated, Williams is to inconsistent...

Just curious. Since Twill had the most yards of seperation of any of our wr's and highest catch rate why is he on your list to let go? He isn't expensive, he's still prodctive. All receivers saw a 3+ yard drop for yards per catch in 2017, they had a similar drop from 2015 to their 2016 numbers.

TWill has little trade value, I'd think. But what about Beasley? Weren't the Ravens interested last off season or something?

Dez, Beasley, and Williams are all getting older. Add Witten to that and yeah, that receiving group is probably one of the oldest in the league. Need some fresh legs in there...Switzer won't get his chance until Beasley is done here. Butler will be gone so that leaves a spot for a new WR to get some opportunities, whether it will be a drafted rookie or Noah Brown.

TWill is averaging 46-672-4 per year guy.

Does that sound like a WR2 to you?

Bring in a true WR1, move Dez to WR2 and shove TWill down to WR3 or WR4 depending on where you put The Bease.

Now you can win a Super Bowl with that group.

Dez's contract is just too big to get rid of, he isn't going anywhere.
T_Will was offered more $$$ from other teams, turned it down to stay in Dallas, you don't get that kind of loyalty in the NFL these days. He isn't going anywhere.
The Bease is a freak, had a down year but he is a favorite of the staff. He isn't going anywhere.
Switzer showed he can be a threat in the return game. Hopefully he can show more next season on the offensive side the ball.
We need to add a tall speedster that can stretch the field, Dez's eventual replacement.
A capable backup for Tyron would be nice too.

Agreed w a lot of what you posted. Question, if we added a tall speedster, who's snaps would he be taking. T wills? Beasley? Or a combo
