Will wade back next year?

I just love it how for a month Wade was THE MAN
and now he stinks for some fans

He was as good as fired 5 weeks ago after the SD loss.

Then we play a great game against NO. Cool.

Then we beat an imploded Commander team, and an Eagles team twice who we match up against extremely well, and Wade is Tom Landry reborn.

So which is he?

Somewhere in between. In other words, a good DC who is in over his head as an HC. Which is pretty much what everyone said he was before the team went on a mini run against some flawed teams.

We still need to add playmakers on both sides. This draft was a total
disaster. Not one playmaker from this draft. The division will be tough as usual. Giants will be back, Philly will improve, and the skins got shanahan. We have to aggresive this offseason.

Last year's draft class was devoid of playmakers outside of the top part. Most of them were gone by the 2nd round our first pick. But I don't know if we need a playmaker from our class because we have Miles and Felix and Jason, and Marion. What we need is more offensive line help. Another DB just because of all the good receivers in the NFC. Maybe even more pass rushers.

The NFC is loaded with great receiver talent. The Eagles have Jackson and Maclin, the Giants have some good receivers, the Saints have a bunch, the Vikings have Rice, the list goes on. We need to continue to counter that with a strong pass rush and more DBs.

Yeah, well it was a given that the defense of Wade and Jerry would hinge on "Where were you guys when the team was winning?"

That fourth and one play said all I needed to know about Wade Phillips.

It's not about a "bad decision"

It's about LOUSY leadership and not having the stones to go for the kill...which is one of the problems this team has.

One bad decision doesn't mean fire a coach. If that were true than NE needs to fire their coach. He's won 3 SBs but he made a bad decision in going for 4th down against the Colts early this year.

See the issue here?

Yes, of course he will be.

Two division titles in 3 years. Winning the first playoff game in 13 years. He had the defense playing top notch football. Let him pick his own OC and he'll reload and be better next year.

Many HC could have the same results as this loser, the Cowboys are as if not more talented than most teams in the NFL. It's all about the playoffs. Fire his ***.

Of course he will be.

Two division crowns in 3 years, his defense is on the precipice of being special, and last but certainly not least each and every player in that locker room would run through a wall for him.

This team is headed in the right direction despite what happened today.

and for some fans, he isn't the man, wasn't the man, and proved it again today.

Funny how you left that part out.

OK Juke - give me your answers - who are you bringing in?

You nailed it! I was screaming at the TV!

Wade in his typical blah style sends out a kicker who missed almost as many as the guy you cut.

OK - All of you that want Wade to go; give me an option and his assistants that have a chance of taking us to the SuperBowl next year in Cowboys Stadium? You can't - they ain't available, aren't good enough, or will tear this team to nothing and start another 7 years of no playoffs.

44-6 and 34-3 says no SHOUTS that we will not go anywhere with Wade as head coach. I wouldn't mind him staying as DC but he has failed miserably in every head coaching job he has had!!! If we are to improve we have to get someone else in here. Tuna was too much of a hardarse and Wade is a cupcake. We need a happy medium.

Sure they could. Keep telling yourself that. And then we'll get Garrett has head coach and go 8-8.

As I use to say at work

"guys. I know the gripes. I have heard them all. I don't need that

NOW - GIVE ME SOLUTIONS!"

I haven't heard a good one yet!

Wade DOES not deserve to come back

He got outcoached and it seems like this team was not ready to play today...
manhandled

Didnt see anything wrong with the playcalling.

If you cant block anybody, there are no magic plays to erase that. Our OL was just flat our awful. Those guys gave us absolutely no chance today.

I did. They NEVER moved the pocket at all. No rollouts, sprints, shifts etc. It was all straight back and allow the dline focus on a spot.

Giving Barber all of those touches in the second and third quarter when the game was decided only to get Jones involved again well into the second half was mindnumbingly stupid. No playaction? Running the wildcat when it HASN'T WORKED ALL YEAR??!!?

Quite frankly, about the only reason why I would want Wade back is if it meant that it would avoid Garrett getting auto promoted to the top spot.

I like Garrett and I feel he is getting better but I am tired of him getting the on the job training, fly by the seat of your pants advancement through the coaching ranks treatment.

Quite frankly he does not have the body of experience to pull from to really get things done. He is smart and he can prepare well, but if his gameplan goes awry beware. He has only FIVE YEARS OF COACHING and he can't say to himself 'oh i remember when team x tried to do the same thing against us and we did this to counter it' all too often.

Adding him to the HC position compounds that problem dramatically.

Who is that? Name him!

As if this is a defense for keeping the guy? You sound like Mickey Spagnola.

It ain't my job to know who the hot assistants are...that's Jerry's job.

But I can see plain as the TV that I was screaming at, THAT was the coach waving a white flag...it was not a statement of "We are here to win and we're going after you guys" especially given that at that point, the Vikings weren't stopping anything.
