Will we be eliminated by Thanksgiving Day based on these next 4 games after the Bye?

We're not eliminated but should be. Or eliminate ourselves.

As it is cannon fodder teams make the playoffs so the NFL makes more money.
The NFL needs the Cowboys still in the race on Thanksgiving.

The NFL needs the Cowboys in the playoff hunt all season.

Yeah, I had us at 11-6 or 10-7. Now I'll be surprised if we can get 9 wins. This team has no intestinal fortitude. They're mentally weak.
I still think 10-7 if we can get healthy. 5-1 within our Division with a split with the Eagles.

I hope you're right. I really do. I just don't see it right now. It would take a monumental change behind the scenes to get things rolling.

I hope I am wrong. I would prefer the hire draft pick, because we will still get embarrassed in the playoffs.

This thread is ridiculous. The Cowboys are one game removed from qualifying for the playoffs, and that's exactly the number of games it would take to be back in that race. Stop crying because the Cowboys lost one game which temporarily set the team outside the playoffs.

That's true, but I just can't root for losses even knowing it's what is best for the team in the long run. I KNOW the team would get decimated in round one of the playoffs, but still I can't root for losses.

Dude, it's not that they lost. It's the way in which they keep losing. It smacks of serious culture problems.

Surprisingly the 49ers game may be the most winnable as we come off a bye and we should also be healthier. That being said, the sloppy play and lack of focus(in addition to not being able to stop or run the ball) and the OP is probably correct. Might be time to start looking at draft picks in the top 10 for the 2025 draft

I agree. I chip and a cheer or a ticket to the dance is all you need to have a chance.

It has been a crazy injury year, so if we get healthy who knows. Niners have been decimated early. If Hutchinson is out for the year that is a big loss for Detroit.

You just never know.

It's one loss. It does not matter how it happened just as it does not matter how they win. A win is a win, a loss is a loss. Crying about it after the fact serves no purpose.

It's not just one loss. It's 3 gutless losses. They stack up in a season. You know what else serves no purpose? Crying about others venting in a forum meant to discuss the team.

When we play balance teams we get abused. It is as simple as that.

Remember win the division and you are in. Lucky for us the other three teams in the division have their issues.

* I don't trust the Commanders with a rookie QB
* Even with all the talent, the Eagles are struggling. Hurts isn't the same QB even with KM
* Two words...............Danny Dime
So the division is wide open but honestly, we are a sub-500 team with no business in a playoff conversation. The issues we are seeing can't be fixed w/o a major overhaul after the season. Anything this season is just a bandaid........cuz it's safe to say at this point we are who we are.
The problem is the eagles next 3 games is cupcakes and will be 6-2.......giants, bengals and jags.

A win against the Niners in their home and I wouldn't care about the rest of the season. Weirder things have happened lol. No matter how appalled I am by Dak n Jerry and a couple of others, a win against these pesky descendants of Steve Young would make me reeeeeaaally happy.

The only problem with that is, if they really did get away with a win, everyone would think this is a great team again. And even with a beyond lucky win against San Fran this team just sucks.

So, kinda weird situation my feelings are in lol. :muttley:

The Cowboys will likely win 2 or 3 of those games to give foolish fans false hope for several more weeks.

49ers...............LMAO................dont even bother watching.
Falcons.......depends which Cousins shows up, the one that puts up 350 yds or the one that throws 3 INTs..............could go either way with this one.
Eagles.........Possibly, we always split with the Eagles so we are going to get 1 win against them, could be this one.
Texans...........LMAO.................repeat of the Detriot and 49er games.

2-2 at best if we get the bad Cousins and take our 1 win against the Eagles right now, but lose later in the year...............I really think 1-3 is the most likely outcome, so 4-6 at Thanksgiving.
Exactly where do you see the possibility of putting enough pressure on Cousins coming from to force 3 ints even with Parsons… especially with their RB and this Swiss cheese front 7!

Niners and Texans are 100% losses. Those teams are physical and this team loves to lay down against teams like that. Falcons / Eagles are toss ups. Commodes will embarrass us on Thanksgiving. Jayden Daniels is the real deal. This team will continue mediocrity until it hires a real GM that can draft a rd 1 QB with actual arm talent/mobility. Until then this is what this team will be. IDK how you all continue to think season after season it will be different.
I guarantee Washington will not beat us on Thanksgiving.

Exactly right. Everyone thought the Cowboys wer yeare dead meant going to Pittsburgh last week.

The bye week will help. Getting injured players back will help. Missing starters is one thing. But when their backup are hurt and you have PS guys in there, yeah it will be bad.
Bring back the same guys that struggled when they were healthy, it is what it is
