This scenario follows the pattern of late and it bugs the hell out of me. We need a miracle next week in N.O.

Mamacita, I love my cowboys, but I just don't understand this December crap. I guess you can't fire the team, so you fire the coach. We are looking at 8-8 as a very good possibility.

It just may be that we aren't that good. No top shelf wide receiver, an average O line, average secondary and an uncreative coaching staff. It really may be that we aren't that good.

May very well be the case, outside of Romo, our team is just not that good. If we didnt have Romo, we would be down there with the Rams and Browns of the league. Romo turns those 4 or 5 wins into 8 or 9 wins.

Basically, we are good enough to beat the bad to average teams, but not good enough to beat the good to great teams.

I will say 9-7 and no playoffs.

You know what I think, guys? We are losing these games in the trenches. We have the skill players on offense, but the offensive line is really inconsistent. Case in point, the run blocking was excellent for 98 yards, but when it was time to get that last yard, they couldn't block to save their lives. Also on defense, the pass rush is a millisecond too slow, allowing opposing QBs to do whatever they want. Our secondary would look a lot better if someone could get to QB quicker. We need to improve both lines on offense and defense. That's my take.

If the opposition wants to take something away they can fairly easily. Especially if they are pretty sure they know what you are going to do. The way to counter that of course is to show them one thing and give then another. We don't do that enough.

The biggest weakness of this team is defense up the middle and o-line. Our mid LB's suck or are to long in the tooth and run out of gas. Or safeties are inconsistent at best.

I seriously would not be surprised if we didn't win another game.

There is no way that this team wins one more game this season. They have the talent to do it, but they are not as mentally strong as they need to be to win one more game... So yes, we go 8-8...
