With the rookies we drafted being signed, it's stated that we have 12 million of cap space, then another 10 million from ZEKE being cut after June 1st. With that said, do we bring any players in for deals, we signed a player or so last year after the draft. I know Barr was one of them.

Would we finally get the deal done with Diggs and focus on Dak. Or are there a few positions on this team that could use some depth? Kicker for one, please give your thoughts!!

Diggs and Dak maybe get their extensions - Diggs in particular.

What the cap space means more is that should a player become available unexpectedly (i.e. DHop), they can afford to overpay for a year, or you can take on a contract in a trade from a non-contender (i.e. Danielle Hunter).

A kicker, but that's probably all for now. Most of the money will probably go toward extensions or being kicked forward next year to go toward extensions.

Very good point or if there's an injury and we need to make said trade

I bet they bring in a K and that's about it. Keep the rest for flexibility just in case, and if it doesn't get used it can be rolled over into next years cap which would be a huge help.
Very big help, can't we also get a deal done and structure it really lowly like the hurts deal

Elaborate
Most people see Diggs as having one great season. Plays as a gambler, doesn’t really like contact and isn’t great defending the run. He also tends to peak at the QB and gets beat on simple double moves.

Prime example for me was the playoff game. Kittle runs up the middle … Diggs has a clear chance to knock him, dislodge the ball, literally stand in front of him. If he does anything they don’t covert that 3rd down and don’t score. A lot of defenders dream of that clear chance and Diggs seemed to make a business decision.

He’s a great player.

But do you think he’s better than Ward? Alexander? Lattimore? Ramsey? Howard? Etc etc. You’re going to be paying him 20+ million a season. If he’s not getting you the 8+ picks a year do you think his resume and work is worth that price?

I think the Kittle play weighs far too heavily on evaluations of Diggs last year. He was a better corner than he was the previous year when he had all the interceptions. Teams avoided him a lot and when they tested him, they failed a lot. He was less of a gambler, so he gave up fewer big plays. That resulted in him making fewer big plays as well, but the trade-off was better coverage.

Sounds about right to me.

There's 12 million of space now. After June 1 they will get the $10.9 million from cutting Zeke. After they sign the draft class they will have around $16 million of space if my sources are right.

Oh no doubt. I’m pro re-signing Diggs no question. Just trying to play a little devils advocate on what people may see

Would love for that to be used on Dak, CD, Diggs, and Hooker extensions.

We unfortunately drafted for need over talent, so we don't have many, if any, holes to fill on the roster outside of WR4.

The argument is that it's not worth paying any corner. Diggs is worth every dollar those guys are.

Still need better RB options.
I don't like they are all in on Pollard being #1 and sole #1 as it looks at this point. Unless they really like Jones or Davis as a compliment RB to Pollard. And we still have no updates or status of his recovery.
Vaughn is a gadget / specialty player that will get 4 to 6 plays a game, that may increase in time.
