I think the Kittle play weighs far too heavily on evaluations of Diggs last year. He was a better corner than he was the previous year when he had all the interceptions. Teams avoided him a lot and when they tested him, they failed a lot. He was less of a gambler, so he gave up fewer big plays. That resulted in him making fewer big plays as well, but the trade-off was better coverage.
Bingo! First all pro caliber corner since the 90’s and we want to run him off lol.

Strange fanbase who has a negative cognitive dissonance that seem to only remember bad plays. Dude honestly got bored at the end of the year and started being more risky because teams weren’t throwing his way at all.

With Gilmore beside him he should have a lot less 3 target games.

Diggs and Dak maybe get their extensions - Diggs in particular.

What the cap space means more is that should a player become available unexpectedly (i.e. DHop), they can afford to overpay for a year, or you can take on a contract in a trade from a non-contender (i.e. Danielle Hunter).
Diggs and Lamb maybe. Although they picked up the 5th years option for Lamb.

Getting these done allows flexibility for future contracts and room to maneuver

Most people see Diggs as having one great season. Plays as a gambler, doesn’t really like contact and isn’t great defending the run. He also tends to peak at the QB and gets beat on simple double moves.

Prime example for me was the playoff game. Kittle runs up the middle … Diggs has a clear chance to knock him, dislodge the ball, literally stand in front of him. If he does anything they don’t covert that 3rd down and don’t score. A lot of defenders dream of that clear chance and Diggs seemed to make a business decision.

He’s a great player.

But do you think he’s better than Ward? Alexander? Lattimore? Ramsey? Howard? Etc etc. You’re going to be paying him 20+ million a season. If he’s not getting you the 8+ picks a year do you think his resume and work is worth that price?
I like diggs but i think youre spot on. he got a bit of feast or famine in him. that play was horrible

that play and daks interception pick 6 was the 2 biggest plays that kept us out of the championship game hands down. Well and jerry getting rid of Cooper

With the rookies we drafted being signed, it's stated that we have 12 million of cap space, then another 10 million from ZEKE being cut after June 1st. With that said, do we bring any players in for deals, we signed a player or so last year after the draft. I know Barr was one of them.

Would we finally get the deal done with Diggs and focus on Dak. Or are there a few positions on this team that could use some depth? Kicker for one, please give your thoughts!!
Hmmmm… Lamb, Diggs, Dak, Steele, Biadasz???

Lol, right! So he can run the team like a 4 yo with a need for instant gratification. When that crap falls apart it’s going to look like the Rams disaster on steroids!
Nope! I’ll stick with McCay actually being the one running things!

It’s pretty much Dak, Ceedee, Diggs, and maybe TY Hilton. I can’t see anybody else but maybe a trade close to deadline if we get hit by injury.

If anyone thinks Diggs only had 1 great season then they need to go to football 101.

Diggs is a gamble. I am on the fence with him. If he played last year like the year before then I would have already signed him. But last season he really showed his executive decisions on sticking his head in the car wreck. I may let him play out this year or some of it to see how he is going to do. With a hopefully improved Defense and pass rush he will be getting some opportunities to make plays on the ball. Make an offer and see how he does.
This makes no sense. His 2022 season was VASTLY better than his 2021 season. You can’t just look at INTs

Idk why people complain about it.

Owners and GMs say it in EVERY sport. It's a cliche for every team in the NHL.

Still need better RB options.
I don't like they are all in on Pollard being #1 and sole #1 as it looks at this point. Unless they really like Jones or Davis as a compliment RB to Pollard. And we still have no updates or status of his recovery.
Vaughn is a gadget / specialty player that will get 4 to 6 plays a game, that may increase in time.
Man if we sink anymore assets than the franchise tag and multiple late rounders in RB it'll make me sick.

You can put 40 year old Marshawn Lynch back there and we would be fine.

There's several players on this team who don't really deserve what they make but that's the market. Knowing him in his contract year, he'll have 43 interceptions 22 touchdowns, will let 103 be given up all season on him! Will get paid and will be a dud!! I hear you though

who is left? and if we have this cap space then who should we have signed and didn't? where are all those pundits that said Dak's 40M contract won't allow us to sign anyone. because we have no cap space.

Diggs likely has 1-2 years left in Buffalo IMO. Allen’s cap is about to jump from $18 million to $47, $56 and $52 million.
