Will "Wildcat Jerry" reemerge from the museum we call The Star at Frisco?

I am asking this because the last time we did anything remotely 'wildcat-ish' was back in 2012..thats 11 years back. Is that version of Jerry locked away forever in a time capsule and a distant memory of better days gone by... or will he at least attempt to recapture a bit of the Dallas swagger either(OR BOTH) on draft day or free agency? Give me your thoughts and ideas on IF he might dust the mothballs off and if he does, what moves should he do first going forward...short of him firing himself , because thats not a viable option. Lets put our GM hat on guys and be realistic. What makes the most sense?

Not likely to be any wildcatting in 2023 draft.

I would say signing blacklisted DE Greg Hardy to a big 1-year deal was definitely Jerry wildcatting. That was… 2015? I would say that was the last time he did anything like that

The Cooper trade was bold but reasonable in retrospect

The only player I’d see us moving up for is Longhorns RB but since we have Tagged Pollard and look to resign Eliiott we probably won’t pursue Robinson .

Hmm...I forgot about Hardy but yeah..but what I am talking about is a huge splash move that might be sensible..

Yea, the Cooper trade for sure but I think he was referring to draft day which we didn’t have to move up with a trade for Gregory .

Last time we moved up was 2012 for CB Clairborne who was a bust.

this^ pretty much yeah. Or a blockbuster FA signing. Bigger than Amari. Something very sensible yet bold. That was a bold move trading ^ at least trying to nab what they felt was a great cb. I agree.Even tho it failed. Id rather try and be bold than 2 stay status quo for many years.

Zeke is way done. His legs are dead and he is slow. 1 thing that he is still elite at is pass blocking. Thats it.
And short yardage . Not bad receiver too. But with a reduced salary with Pollard being the focus now Elliott could still be an asset.

But as Coach Ranch said we’d gladly give up both for Robinson.

But those missed picks in early rounds especially 1st round on defense is what has held us back from more success this era .
