Will "Wildcat Jerry" reemerge from the museum we call The Star at Frisco?

1st and 2nd round misses on defense this era has cost this franchise .
Clairborne and Taco - 1st round bust
Hill- 2nd rd & our 1st pick that year - Bust

Imagine if that CB was a stud and both DL even become starters . What a difference our defense could have been.

I think it was pre Will McClay. Thats the 1 huge difference. But you’re right.
McClay came on board in 2011. He’s been part of some of these crucial misses too.

Offensively drafted pretty well except for Escobar in 2nd one year but defense has been hit and miss with too many misses.

That Jerry is gone.

But even that guy was bad. Remember the "Wildcater" completely overruling the scouts in 2001 and out of nowhere drafting Quincy Carter because he thought he was the next Donovan McNabb - like that's who we want our QB to be. He has killed us for decades.

He gets zero football credit he so desperately craves outside of hiring a college friend.

Jerry is an old neutered house cat. Cap Boy is steering this team now.

I am asking this because the last time we did anything remotely 'wildcat-ish' was back in 2012..thats 11 years back. Is that version of Jerry locked away forever in a time capsule and a distant memory of better days gone by... or will he at least attempt to recapture a bit of the Dallas swagger either(OR BOTH) on draft day or free agency? Give me your thoughts and ideas on IF he might dust the mothballs off and if he does, what moves should he do first going forward...short of him firing himself , because thats not a viable option. Lets put our GM hat on guys and be realistic. What makes the most sense?
Only thing he is dusting off is an old shot glass he found in that closet. :muttley:

We can only hope he / they do something different as to their approach in FA.
I am looking forward to the meltdowns on here once FA starts.

Uhh no

In fact, that 'Something Big' that Dallas was rumored to be working on was probably the Dak/Martin restructures. That my friend is just how exciting things have gotten around here.

Yeah I recall..thats the risk but at this juncture I think its time to throw some darts again and take a risk. Status quo hasn't worked.
