Will you still call him Pacman? - 6/19/08

I don't think I'll be able to help it, I'm that used to calling him Pacman that it will probably just stick.

I've done my best to refer to him as Adam Jones every since the talks of him coming to Dallas started. So I don't see any reason to call him anything other than Adam from now on.

His momma called him pacman because she played the game so much when she was pregnant.

He said in the Michael Irvin interview that his mom gave him the "Pacman" nickname because we would drink so many of those little individual milk cartons. She said he'd gobble them down just like Pacman.

Doesn't make a ton of sense to me but that's what he said.

I'll call him whatever Nav22 tells me to call him!

:nervous:

Show a little respect for a young guy who might be growing up. He wants to be called by his real name? Good for him, cut him a break. What's it to you?

What's it to you what I call him?

You act like I am going to be running around him on the field trying to annoy him by yelling out 'You're Pacman! You're Pacman! You're Pacman!', lol.

:banghead:

That's not what he said on Irvin. 'Little milk cartons', lol.

She was saying that he was always hungry and was always looking to you know, ummm, how do I say this...

Breast feed.

So it reminded her of the Pacman game and how Pacman was always just going around 'eating' all the pellets.

Here's a blurb from an article JJT did a few weeks ago, read here.

Behind the name

Deborah Jones, who was 20 when Pacman was born, spent hundreds of quarters playing Pac-Man, while pregnant with her only child.

When her premature son arrived on Sept. 30, 1983, doctors told her to nurse the baby because he needed the extra nutrients. His voracious appetite reminded Deborah of her favorite video game character, so she nicknamed the baby Pacman.

Milk cartons, lol.

I think I will call him "Monopoly Jones" ( I like that game )...or, maybe "Bingo Jones"?

How about, uh, "5 Card Stud Jones"? Or does his name have to be some sort of computer game? How about "Mahjong Jones"?

Ah...what the hey...I guess it just Senior Jones!!
