Dez Bryant is the Cowboys all time TD pass catcher and that's saying a helluva lot with 3 HOF receivers that's been hear (Pearson) will be there very soon.
But Dez was surprisingly cut from team, to which he had to be steaming mad and felt let down with obvious resentments. But the reason why he was cut from Cowboys remain a subject of discussion even years later as Cowboys prepare to face Dez Bryant on Tuesday vs Ravens.
Speculation remained that Dez was on the obvious decline and could no longer gain the necessary separation to remain effective vs CBs. Even the more average ones were effectively shutting him down and he just wasn't making up the difference in his enormous contract.
Add to that there was rumored to have been some dissention in the locker room with Dez's personality that clashed with certain teammates and a concern that Bryant may have been too disruptive to Dak himself.
Zeke is not said to be anywhere near that demonstrative, or locker room disruptive. But there is obvious some concern that zeke could be on the decline himself. as he just doesn't provide the big splash game breaking plays he used to bring when he entered the NFL.
And like Dez, Elliott has his own enormous contract that the team invested in him. But I have to wonder if he could be on a course that the team has to decide if he's such on a decline that they have to take a different direction and release Zeke as well.
