Phil Loadholt was reportedly the pick we would've made if unable to trade out of the second round.

I thought Loadholt was a big time boom or bust selection who lacked the feet to not get exposed at tackle and was too tall to project to guard.

I'm glad we didn't draft him.

Has anyone seen or heard how he's doing with the Vikings?

Loadholt was starting the other day - but he is a RT

Most of the time, it was Anthony Henry on Plaxico, at least that's what I remember.

I've never seen either have much success against him, not sure what you are talking about.

And right now Barden looks like he is years away from ever getting on the field in real games.

just think about how much Martellus Bennett is going to haunt them and the rest of the league for the next few years, and you'll feel better

Mike Tyson at 20 was the scariest boxer I ever saw. At that time I really think he would have been able to take any boxer who ever lived. Once Gus D'Amato died, it was all downhill.

LT William Beatty was one of my absolute favs before the Draft but I'm still having a hard time missing Center Max Unger by one pick, though I do not know how he is doing thus far on the "next level".

would not put him in that class yet but he hit the QB I know at least three times

I saw Ware like moves - - I saw him hit the QB three times

he 6-2 #255
Ware 6-4 #265

had 4 tackles was in the backfield all day - had one sack

oh well you can't help people that don't want to be educated

and a lot better than our rookies who had a grand total of 1 tackle

The Giants have had him lined up at strong-side linebacker with the first unit in three straight practices, bumping Clark to the second team. But Tom Coughlin said not to read anything into that move. "It's training camp," he said.
Maybe, but if Sintim wasn't ready to play with the ones, he wouldn't be there.
He's a combination of really strong and he's also pretty quick," said tight end Kevin Boss, who has lined up opposite Sintim in practices. "The thing that's struck me is he's a strong kid. He can lock on and he's tough to shed. He'll do well."
Sintim has relied on veterans to help guide him through his first training camp. Clark, especially, has mentored him because they play the same position. That makes for an interesting dynamic. The more reps Sintim gets with the starters, the fewer Clark gets.
Clark didn't express any concerns about his job. "I'm fine," he said. "When the lights come on, we'll see what happens."
Sintim also addressed the possibility of unseating Clark.
"Whoever gets the job gets the job,'' he said, "and I'm sure the other person is willing to compete nonetheless and support this defense to the fullest."

Its laughable because you are comparing a rookie who played alot in scrub time in one preseason game to a guy who should have won the DPOY each of the last two seasons, and is coming off a 20 sack season.

Just quit dude.

Dbair - if you see stupid people quit looking in the mirrror -

Spedkilz - love that avitar - you so smart Felix - yea right

neither of you can see potential

Sintim has already fairly well mastered the art of pass rushing. I say this not because of his overall pass rushing productivity at Virginia, but because of the number of pass rush moves I tracked him as using. In the seven games I broke down, Sintim used 33 different combinations of pass rush moves. He used these moves both when rushing to the inside or outside, so he isn’t limited in that sense either.

Sintim, so I should also point out that he was double-teamed on 18.5% of his pass rushes. If he can occupy two blockers at the pro level nearly one out of five times and finish his mastery of pass rushing, he should be a candidate for double-digit sacks.

I thought (Clint) Sintim had a good ball game, a good physical game, a game in which he rushed the passer.

http://www.3rdstringsafety.com/2009/08/observations-from-last-nights-giants-panthers-game/

Clint Sintim maybe be better off playing defensive end full time.
The Giants need another outside linebacker, and are incredibly deep at defensive end. However, after watching Sintim play defensive end last night, I can’t help but wonder if he isn’t best off as an edge rusher. He looked so natural coming off the edge and getting to the quarterback. He exploded off the ball and nearly killed Matt Moore. In all honesty, I got flashback of Osi’s first couple years as a Giant.

http://www.profootballweekly.com/2009/07/17/sintim-could-have-chance-to-win-giants-slb-job

don’t overlook the potential work of second-round LB Clint Sintim, an active and versatile defender who has a shot at getting major time at strong-side linebacker. Right now, veteran Danny Clark is penciled in as the starter, and Clark was mostly solid in his first year with the Giants. But the team clearly saw room for improvement and wanted a younger option there for down the road. Although Sintim might not win the job immediately out of camp, he has a good chance to fit his way into the rotation because he can rush the passer, drop in coverage and stand up against the run. The Giants often replace their “Sam” linebacker in nickel packages but could opt to keep Sintim on the field on third downs because of his ability to disrupt in the backfield and get upfield.

is where Clint Sintim, the first of the Giants’ two 2nd round picks comes in. Herrmann raved about Sintim’s ability to cover and stop the run before praising his ability to rush the passer. Translation – he will play all three downs or in every situation. Sintim is an imposing figure at 6′3″, 260 and is exactly what the Giants were looking for to bolster their LB corps.

Analysis: The stage is set for Sintim to come in and rush the passer behind Osi Umenyiora. That won’t bode well for many quarterbacks in this league

Should we really not read anything into Clint Sintim getting first-team reps ahead of Danny Clark?
That’s what Tom Coughlin told us after he was asked about Sintim, the rookie out of Virginia (second round), getting some first-team time at strong-side linebacker last week. Coughlin explained that at this stage of camp the coaches are just trying different things. Fine, but what if they work? Clark is a solid player, but the Giants believe Sintim’s ceiling is higher. They also think he can be a dangerous pass rusher, which is why they expected him to be a specialist in that role this season, and little more than that. But the transition from his college 3-4 to the Giants’ 4-3 defense hasn’t seemed to bother Sintim as much as expected. Sure, coaches tinker with different things, but they don’t usually tinker with the lineup without a purpose in mind. Maybe Sintim won’t get Clark’s job, but a few big preseason plays could earn him a lot more time on the field.

seems like there are quite a few smart guys out there

The Giants have no flaws and walk on water and we should praise the very ground they walk on. Their draft expertise has blown everyone away and should be the standard to which all NFL teams live up to.
