If we are not to address the CB position in the first round, Jackson is the guy I'm looking at. 6-2, long arms, attacks the ball in the air and goes from the strip. Sick of having CBs on our team that has no idea how to locate the ball while it's in the air or the instincts to know when to get their head around to make a play on the ball.

If I had to make a comparison, reminds me a bit of Sean Smith. I think drafting him in the second may be a reach, so we'd have to hope he falls into the third round.

I know it's a highlight reel but it's hard to not like the kid and his athleticism. Hard to say where the kid will be projected to go but honestly I liked his "tape" better than anything I've seen of Jalen Ramsey. Call me crazy, I guess.

They have a few of his games on their page. You'll notice some issues that he gives his receivers a little too much cushion at times. If this is a personal choice or the coordinators choice, I don't know. He seems far better when he's pressing his man.

I think some people may not like him because he gives up some plays like Carr and Claiborne do, he struggles with slants (Though, it seems most CBs struggle with this). But he separates himself from those two by always getting his hand on the ball in some way. He seems to be the kind of corner Carr was in Kansas City. I'm not sure I see him as a future #1 corner, but that's okay, a good #2 is nearly as valuable in today's league.

One of my pet cats.....

I know round 2 sounds rich.....(and it is).......but if your gonna get a starting CB out of this draft you had better do it early. There just isn't that many starting caliber CBs in this draft.

IMO if you can get him in round 3.....Your stealing.;)

The only concern I have is....does he fit our scheme here? Looks like his best game is when he lines up in man coverage.

Sure seems like we take man coverage DBs and ruin them by trying have them play off in zone coverage.

Haha, this can probably be said for most tall CBs in the league due to the level Sherman is on.

True. But corners aren't generally as big as Sherman - hence the comparisons. Charles Woodson probably is, but he's a bit more slender than Sherman. Sherman is yoked in the upper body, kind of like Houston.

He'll shoot up boards if he runs a good 40 time at the combine. Most likely to the point we'd have to take him with our 2nd barring any other picks acquired. It's way too early, but Jackson as a top 40 prospect sounds a little outlandish to me.

I'm a big Uof H fan and have watched him for years now. If he was at LSU, he'd be talked about as a strong 2nd round option. He has size, long arms and he has wheels. Can wait to see him and WR D. Ayers run at the combine. I would love to see him as a Cowboys DB.:)

A good 40 time could do a lot for him, I agree. I'd say not having top end CB speed is the only thing that is keeping him from being a top 20 prospect.

But either way, I think a lot of teams in the second round will be interested in him and he'll most likely never reach us in the third. Right off the top of my head, if Kansas City loses Sean Smith in FA, I could see that being his new home.

Excellent awareness and good ball skills... I want him in Dallas to pair with Scandrick. He's worth a 2nd round pick IMO

I have a link to some of his film at Draft Breakdown posted if you want to see him in game action.
