Win, Get In, Let the Chips Fall Where They May!!!

O.K., first off I'm not by any means saying we're going to win or even go to the Super Bowl this year. However, if we get in, we certainly have a chance. If the last few years in the NFL have taught us anything, it's that any team that gets in the playoffs has a chance to take it all. As we all know, two of the last three Super Bowl Champions have been wildcard teams. Indy won it when they didn't have a bye week or homefield advantage. Be honest, did ANYONE think any team other than us, the Patriots, or the Packers had a prayer at winning it all when the playoffs started last year???? I don't think so. Did ANYONE think the Giants had any chance to win 3 road games and win it all last year? They had anything but a spectacular regular season last year. Their defense started off giving up boatloads of points (like us this year), they had numerous key injuries (like us this year), their fans wanted to run their coaching staff out of town during the regular season (like us this year), and pretty much everyone wanted to bench their QB. They also had some turmoil between the retired Tiki Barber and the organization, at least in the media. Sound famaliar? Again, none of this means we're going to go on a magical ride like the Giants did last year, or the Steelers did three years ago. It does mean that we have the opportunity to do it. Let's just win, get in, and let the chips fall where they may. One thing is for certain. We'll know much more about the heart and character of this team by Sunday night.
