OK, that figured. :D

Life is too short to go through another lengthy passer rating lesson from you. You even started a thread on passer ratings several weeks ago that I didn't even bother to click on. Every discussion you have defending Romo includes every passer rating stat imaginable. The Cowboys lack of winning can be summed up very simply. It's been the lack of solid coaching, poor defensive play that has resulted in very few take aways and Romo's occasional turnover filled meltdown performances in which one always occurs in a do or die situation. The Cowboys lost 3 games last season to Chicago, NY and Washington due primarily to 12 Romo turnovers. He had 5 int's vs the Bears and had a fumble. He had 4 int's vs the Giants and 3 int's vs Washington with the division title and playoff birth on the line.

Not every turnover he commits is his fault but some of you need to stop putting such an effort to try and distance him from receiving any of blame for these losses. When your defense isn't getting turnovers and your QB is passing them out like fliers it's a recipe for losing especially in win or go home games. If Romo's win or go home record was 6-1 no one would be complaining and this thread wouldn't exist. Care to disagree with that? When he wins he receives all the credit from FANS but when he losses it's the teams fault not his. It's the "teams" record when it's 1-6 but it's "Romo's" record when it's 5-1.

It's been well documented that he does not have a good supporting cast.

So you're saying Witten, Dez, Austin and Murray aren't any good? Romo has a HOF TE and one of the best young receivers in the game who put up over 1300 yards last season and 12 TD's but you're claiming it's well documented he doesn't have a good supporting cast? Show me where this has been documented? The OL hasn't been good but Romo hasn't been sacked as many times as Aaron Rodgers. No QB in the league does more with less than Rodgers.

If Romo's supporting cast wasn't any good how was he able to put up almost 5000 yards and 28 TD's last season? He had a career statistical year in 2011 with a passer rating over 102.0. Are you one of those who are going to give him ALL the credit for that but put "all" the blame on the team when he doesn't play well? If he hasn't had a good supporting cast how has he been able to manage a top 5 career passer rating? Looking forward to your answers. :D

Some very good points in here by KJJ. Romo is what the results show, a QB that can put up big numbers but will make mistakes at critical times and has an inability to step up when is needed most, until that changes he will continue to be criticized and rightly so.

Fortunately it's just long enough for you to ignore the lesson and go on lengthy tirades that would have been rendered irrelevant if you had read the OP.

You don't understand that it's a "team" game. Sure, Witten, Dez, Austin and Murray are good players if not great. But the last time I checked, they don't play defense or offensive line.

There was no lesson it just pains some that a record is credited to a QB when it's a losing record. QB's have always been credited with their teams W/L record they influence the outcome of games more than any other player it's the same with HC's. Garrett's record the past 2 years is 16-16 so FANS should claim it's the team's record not his. Garrett isn't the one playing so why should he receive the credit or the blame for the teams record? It's pretty simple why QB's and HC's are credited with wins and losses.

I understand perfectly well that it's a team game and I also understand that a QB is judged by wins/losses and how they perform in the playoffs. This isn't something that's been created just for Romo it's always been that way with QB's. Troy Aikman is in the HOF because of his W/L record that includes 3 championships. QB's impact games like no other player which is why they are singled out so often when awards are passed out. It's not the team that wins the SB MVP it's the player who impacted the outcome of the game the most and it's usually a QB. Not every player on a team is great all teams have holes. Romo has excellent players around him at the skill positions. Ben Roethlisberger won a SB in 08 with arguably the worst OL in SB history and he had no running game. That OL got him carted off the field once that season while getting him sacked 48 times.

No QB in the league has been sacked more than Aaron Rodgers the past few seasons and he's a very mobile QB. He got sacked 8 times in one half of football by Seattle last season but the Packers still win games because of him. Remove Rodgers from the Packers and they wouldn't be half the team they are. The Cowboys defense has some excellent players including one of the greatest sackmasters in the game who's a future first ballot HOF player.

They have Sean Lee, Bruce Carter, Claiborne and Carr they're not good players? This team has a lot more talent than the team 3 years ago that went 5-3 to finish up the 2010 season. The Cowboys aren't well coached and don't play inspired football that's the problem with this team. You don't see the passion that you see with some teams. One week the Cowboys look good and are ready to play and the next week they look disorganized and disinterested. That falls on the HC and he'll take the fall at the end of the 2013 season if things don't improve. The talent is there to compete but the coaching hasn't been.

Win or go home is a Cowboy thing. Not any one player. Yes the conventional wisdom seems to be it is just the QB all I can say is that is about as short sighted and lame to single out the 1 in a team sport. I refuse to follow stupid ideals just because others seem to find it acceptable. Romo shares in the problems but it is a Cowboy issue not a Romo issue. Just because “They” say it is the QB does not make “They” right. lol

Which you know.

From the "glossing" and ignoring.

When I gloss over things I take a lot in more than most. I've had many discussions with Percy he's bogged down by all sorts of misleading stats especially passer rating stats. I've never seen anyone so fascinated by passer ratings.

Show me the quotes where I'm putting "all" the blame on the coach and QB? Did you not see all the comments I made about the poor defensive performances? Ryan was fired because of the defense.

You can't have it both ways which is what you're trying to do. I'm tired of listening to people who get their takes from ESPN talking heads who have no clue about the Cowboys. You can believe what you want to believe which means you've already given up on the season since Garrett and Romo are still here. I choose to believe that both Garrett and Romo are more than capable of leading a team to the Super Bowl.

This is the part that he just won't listen to or admit that it takes 53 to win a football game. KJJ would believe that if Rodgers or Eli were the QB's of the Cowboys the last few years that the Boyz would have at least 3 more SB's.

He might not admit it, but he pumps them up because they have a team that is equal or worse teams than the Cowboys, but because they are so clutch they could have won here.

How embarrassing.

Whatever works for you man. And by "works", I mean whatever allows you to disregard people's arguments without ever having read them.

You say that but just got finished saying "also understand that a QB is judged by wins/losses and how they perform in the playoffs" As far as Troy Aikman he had a line he had a HOF RB league leading RB who set the NFL record for most rushing yards all time. He had a top WR and TE he had a defense he had a special team unit that was pretty special and yes the Cowboys won SB guess what when those other parts are not performing as they did in the 90's Troy would not have won anything. great thing with the triplets they will say the same thing it was not any one of them it was the team as a whole who won SB. That is the reality, this other crud is media BS and makes no sense to put it on 1 player when the one player can only control so much and has no bearing on any other phase of the game. Really if people used their heads for a second it is not hard to figure out championship are won by teams always has always will.

I give my own take and most who aren't biased Cowboy FANS have the same take on this team and the QB. I haven't given up on this season and am glad Romo is here you're just one of those with an agenda. I defended keeping Romo during the offseason when a lot of fans had come to the end of their rope with him and wanted him traded. I predicted he would be resigned and said to book it! You can read whatever you want into my posts but your take is wrong. I've posed several questions to you that you have no answers for. Where is this well documented evidence that Romo doesn't have a good supporting cast? If you're going to keep responding stop dancing and provide some answers.

I've already said that Romo has the "talent" to lead the Cowboys to the SB did you miss that? But he hasn't shown he has it between the ears to do it. Romo has shown over 7 years with many great performances that he has the "talent" to get it done but he hasn't been able to put it together when it matters most. As for Garrett what has he done so far to make you believe he can lead the Cowboys to a championship? He hasn't even led the team to a winning record yet. He's still trying to figure out when and when not to call a time out. I have more confidence in Romo than I have in Garrett.

I've read his arguments thoroughly over the past 4 years they haven't changed. He and I have been disagreeing with each other ever since I signed on this board. I'm not going to waste my time reading his arguments again. I saw where the OP was going it's the same thing he's been saying all along.

Which players have played great in post season? Has the defense performed? has the line done their jobs? Have WR ran the routs they are suppose to run. I watch the games and I see a lot of mistakes made by a lot of player Romo included but I have yet to see a time where the team played great or post season quality ball. I think Romo shares in it and should they start playign to that level then he will share in that as well but it is not going to be Romo alone doing it.
