Something to remember tomorrow if we win or lose, this game is that is very likely not a reflection of the 2018 Cowboys.
Obviously this game will matter in December when we talk about playoff seeding but the fact remains that arguably our two best seasons out of almost 25 years came where we lost ugly in week one(2014 and 2016.) We won week 1 in 2015 and 2017 and we see how that turned out. We were even rather dominant in week 1 last year, especially defensively, only to be embarrassed a week later.
This goes for many teams around the league. Another example is the 2016 falcons, they lost to the Bucs week one but went on to the Super Bowl.
It’s going to be ugly, sloppy and frustrating but if the last 4 years have told us anything it’s how pointless it will be to overanalyze anything, good or bad, in just a little over 25 hours from now.
