PLEASE if this was the AFC maybe i would agree with you but in the NFC who is clearly better. NO ONE is, so although i'm dissapointed lets not get too down. I still like our chances considering we are still a young team thats getting betterjem88 said:We are a slightly above average team. We won't last long in the playoffs.
Missed field goals are not bad breaks, especially when it happens repeatedly. If you want to go down that route, we got a lucky break against the Eagles and were lucky to face a Chargers team without Gates. I am correct, you are not. Dallas is a slightly above average team. Good teams do not have glaring weaknesses on the O-line and on special teams (by glaring I mean weaknesses that actually cost us games.)SultanOfSix said:That's garbage. We're a good football team, which happens to get more bad breaks than good ones.
That's just it. I don't see us getting better this year. In fact, since the first Eagles game we've been horribly inconsistent. That's the kind of form that will get you one win in the playoffs and then a frustrating loss.Da Hammer said:PLEASE if this was the AFC maybe i would agree with you but in the NFC who is clearly better. You were the one playing the pathetic bad breaks card. Every team has injuries and as much as losing Flo hurts, our problems run deeper than that. The fact that we are starting a 6th round rookie who shows some promise is but one reason that we are not yet anything more than an above average team. And to be honest, I wasn't that impressed with the Broncos. At the end of the day, the Colts, Steelers and perhaps even the Patriots and Bengals are better than the Broncos.SultanOfSix said:Yes, but injured kickers are. Also injured left tackles, as well as a starting right tackle that is a rookie. Gates is not the be all/end all deciding factor on why we won the Chargers game, or why the Chargers lost. Gates has been in many games this year, and they've still lost. Laying a probable victory at the feet of one player, especially a tight end is just garbage.
