Win streaks, attitude, Bradie James and THE GODFATHER

Can anyone chime in and tell me who you think is this year's most inspirational player is?
It's between Rat and Brooking for me. But based purely on "inspirational", I'll go with Brooking.

Another great report. What really strikes me this year is the Romo transformation. He's gone from the Frat boy mentality (see hat) to the media savvy, cliche ridden, taking care of the ball, QB/Leader of the team (see new hat) and it's happened in a span of two months.

I'll be honest, I never knew a Troy Aikman HAD a personality. I met him a couple of times in social situations and he was so guarded, but through Tony's experiences, I get it. Troy was mature for his age beyond his years, so ahead of the game on and off the field that when he retired and started broadcasting this whole different personality emerged. He could be engaging, sarcastic, funny and sincere.

We lost part of the fun-loving Romo that we won't see again until he retires, but the part we are left with is what is needed to be the QB of the Cowboys. It's been fascinating to watch his emergence and even more "fun' to watch him lead the Cowboys to wins. I'm sure we'll pick up some of the smiles for him.
Outstanding observations on your part!

Our defense is full of leaders.

Bradie James. Keith Brooking. Jay Ratliff. DeMarcus Ware. Marcus Spears. Terence Newman. Ken Hamlin.

All of these guys have been through the ups and downs with this team (outside of Brooking) and I think on that side of the ball we've got a group of lunch pale guys that are buying into this team first mentality.

Ratliff screaming at halftime things were his fault gives me the chills. This is the stuff championship teams are made of. We keep building on that and I'm going to be crying in February, the good tears.

SOmehow, I missed footage of the Ratliff outburst. Where/when was this televised? Anyone know if it's on YouTube or elsewhere?

Thanks,

Yes, Romo's hat direction really made the difference!

I don't care if it's the hat, the hair, the smile. Just wear it forward, wear it long, wear it all game long.

Great OP. Very enjoyable read.

I was actually referencing his observations in the last two paragraphs, rather than anything about hats.

Quality post. btw, I remember the 91' and 92' Cowboys boiling over with excitement on the sideline after great plays.

That said, I can't tell you how excited I would be if the fate of the 91/92 Cowboys was upon us again.

people obsessed with how romo wears his cap? o...kay.

Geez you guys, tough crowd. I'm not obsessed with the hat, it was an observation within a summation of Romo's transformation.

There's an old joke about a guy who has a life time of work but makes one mistake with a sheep....never mind.
