If we beat the Bucs and Giants and lose the finally two games we still win the Divison. We would be 3-3 in the divison and 7-5 in the conference. The Giants would end the year if they split with us and win their last remaining games would end 3-3 in Divsion and 5-7 in the conference.

That's nice and all but it doesn't make me feel any better. If we won yesterday, the game Sunday night would be for the division for us. That's tough to swallow.

Take it 1 game at a time.

As far as I know, none of us are on the team. We can look ahead if we want.

I'm tired of this kind of thinking.

You need to win every game from here on out because you're a bunch of slap-schmekel morons who are prone to giving away games you should win. No! We need to win all four because Lord Acton knows which ones we'll give away on dry ice.

One game at a time, but we need to finish no worse than 10-6.

That means we can afford only a single loss over the next 4 games.

December hasn't been good to us historically. Sunday was proof in the pudding.

But the division is still ours to take. If we don't, we have no one to blame but ourselves.

What does winning the division prove? Nothing really any more. It's about who is hot in December. It's all about January. Ask Green Bay.

I don't think this is correct.

According to my understanding of NFL tiebreaker rules, record against common opponents is considered before conference record. Consequently, the Cowboys wouldn't necessarily win the division if they only beat the Giants and Bucs, and then lost their last two.

If the Cowboys beat only the Giants and Bucs while the Giants went 3-0 in their last 3 games, the Giants would win the NFC East by virtue of having beaten the Jets -- a common opponent to whom the Cowboys lost.

Arizona was a common opponent as well, and the Giants beat Arizona. This is why the loss against Arizona wasn't "meaningless." It was actually quite important in terms of determining the NFC East champion.

Ask Green Bay? You mean the Green Bay that lost 2 games in December last year and needed Detroit to break a long road losing streak and a Desean Jackson miracle just to make the playoffs. Ok I'll go ask them.

this is 100% accurate...

cowboys beat giants and eagles and they win the division though

We need to try and win 1 game in a row each week. We're 0-0 this week going for a win against the Giants at home.
