Read that TPM is only on Motherboards from 2016 and after, mine is 2015. Also couldn't find any secure boot options in Bios. Not really happy with Microsoft especially after claims of W10 will be the last OS and now springing 11 on us.
They have said several things they had no intention of doing as their main motivation is to create an Apple-iOS-like system service based around their cloud services rather than simply selling individual OS software.

Windows 10 was given away for free for a long time specifically to get people locked in to the new platform and Windows 11 is less about being a major upgrade that improves things for users and more about making a lot of Microsoft-beneficial changes and masking them behind a new desktop theme.

As I said before, I am happy that my laptop will not be forced to upgrade and since Windows 10 will continue to be supported until 2025, I can see a lot of people not worrying about missing out on Windows 11 if they have older computers.

For those of you that are forced to upgrade to Windows 11, Stardock is working on a program called Start11 that adapts Windows 11 back to a format you are more familiar with such as Windows 10.

My laptop is not supported but the tower I built a few months ago is.

Of course it may because I have something disabled in BIOS (not sure) but I am happy as I did not want to upgrade any time soon to Windows 11 anyway and now I do not have to worry about Microsoft forcing an upgrade on me.

You can download the PC Health Check app from Microsoft and it has a system check to see if your computer supports Windows 11.

Just scroll down on the Microsoft Windows 11 information page to the "Check for compatibility" section ..
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-11

None of my PCs or laptops are compatible but I am never in a rush to upgrade Windows.

just saw a sample pic of the windows 11 desktop, looks like generic trash. I'm perfectly content with W10

Microsoft's MO in the past has been to converge old versions with new so I am assuming the updates to Windows 10 will start to look a lot like Windows 11. Have you noticed a few updates ago the put a Microsoft Live login when you restart Windows? You can cancel it but it is clear they want people to sign up for Microsoft Live accounts.

My desktop is rarely restarted. My laptop auto signs in, but maybe because I already have my gmail linked to a live account I don't see those pop ups. Only thing I remember is whenever an update rolls out they want to show off the features, but I always skip.

What is a TPM chip?
Found a list of supported CPUs and didn't see my i7-4790K on the list which was weird.
Heard W11 will need around 60 GB storage space.
It is a security chip ..I think @Reality explained it well ..most recent pcs have them but you can add it if you want to.
even if your pc does not have it there is a modification you can do to the Windows ISO to bypass it ( replacing some DLLs etc...)

Hopefully it's a decent OS. Their track record of every other Windows version hasn't been the greatest.

Windows 98 - Solid
Windows ME - Sucked
XP - Amazing
Vista - Sucked
Windows 7 - Fantastic
Windows 8 - Sucked
Windows 10 - Excellent

I really liked XP and Win 7 they just seemed to be ez to use Win 10 I'm used to it now but really am not very nuts about it Will wait on 11 for reviews
