They have said several things they had no intention of doing as their main motivation is to create an Apple-iOS-like system service based around their cloud services rather than simply selling individual OS software.Read that TPM is only on Motherboards from 2016 and after, mine is 2015. Also couldn't find any secure boot options in Bios. Not really happy with Microsoft especially after claims of W10 will be the last OS and now springing 11 on us.
Windows 10 was given away for free for a long time specifically to get people locked in to the new platform and Windows 11 is less about being a major upgrade that improves things for users and more about making a lot of Microsoft-beneficial changes and masking them behind a new desktop theme.
As I said before, I am happy that my laptop will not be forced to upgrade and since Windows 10 will continue to be supported until 2025, I can see a lot of people not worrying about missing out on Windows 11 if they have older computers.
