The more I read about this kid the more I would like to see us take a chance on him in the 2nd or 3rd round. I think he’s nowhere near his ceiling and will only be getting better. Looks like we could use him as a nickel and a safety and make him more of a hybrid... Thoughts?

This draft is loaded with 2nd 3rd round gems, that's where the real meat and potatoes of this draft is.
Would like more 2s and 3s if possible.

He may sneak into round 1, will most definitely be gone by the time we pick at 51

I have actually seen a few people putting him in the tail in of round one in mock drafts.

I also seen some video, not sure who it was, but said that some teams see him as a first rounder and the only thing against him was his height.

Who knows, but he sure seems like a pretty good player. Would be happy to have him if he fell to your second round pick provided we do not take a S in the first.

I have NEVER seen him play...to be clear.

He has the pedigree.

I wonder if a combination of the name plus the interceptions isnt masking some serious flaws in his game otherwise.

As I'm sitting here theres Jeremy Chinn highlights on NFL Network.

Granted they are highlights, but wow does that guy LOOK exactly like what we need back there.

Whoever this analyst is has him going to LA at 37.

I've seen McKinney and Delpit play. I wouldnt be stunned at all if there are several safeties in this draft that end up better players than them.

It's weird, the two biggest ball hawks in this draft are the two smallest DBs in this draft. Antoine Winfield Jr. and Amik Robertson are a combined 11.7 tall and tallied 23 interceptions between them. Kris Richard's worse nightmare is a 5'9 CB and a 5'8 S, but...he's not here anymore.

He looks like a much better Xavier Woods --- no knock on woods though as he was a 6th round pick and plays wayyy better than his draft stock. However, with Woods being a free agent, they could upgrade with Winfield Jr. I'd keep Woods around if the price is right.

Yeah, I’m more intrigued by Chinn than the other small school safety Duggar.

The flaws are that he's always been hurt and he's small.

The real know on the CB draft class is that it is not a fast class.
Not saying that I don't like some of the other attributable reasons why they are still available in this draft, just a lot of guys that don't deserve a first round grade, but there are
a lot of round 2 safeties and corners coming off the board round 2,, that where the run will start as usual.
None of the top CB prospects ran before 4.5 40,, just saying this isn't a fast DB class, and that doesn't mean that there aren't going to be good DBs that play a very long time in this league that will be drafted in two weeks.

The odds are against him. How many starting Safeties in the NFL are 5-9? Honey badger and...

He had injury issues already and undersized players at any position are statistically more likely to get injured.

On the flip side, he was a better college player than some Safeties that will get drafted before him.

I will say that in the modern NFL it's more feasible for a FS to be short than for a CB to be short. It tended to be the opposite 25 years ago.
